This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at! The Chile relleno dinner is my go to every single time! Tacos Al pastor are delicious too. Worth the drive from Davenport for sure

Amazing food, way better than any of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Plus the chips and salsa are delicious and worth the drive from Iowa City alone.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Iowa City area and definitely worth the drive. I have frequented this restaurant for more than ten years and it is ALWAYS GOOD. The Mexican-style chicken tacos are my favorite item on the menu -- corn taco shells, shredded chicken, onion, cilantro, a slice of avocado, and a lime to squeeze over the top. My husband loves to order the chimichanga, which is HUGE! In addition to their outstanding food, their prices are also quite reasonable. Check out the restaurant hours before heading to West Liberty as they are often closed one day a week and in observance of some holidays. For a fun outing in West Liberty, pair a meal at El Patio with a movie at the old-timey New Strand Theatre.

My husband and I love to eat here each opportunity we get! He always gets their tacos and I always get their shrimp tostadas! The bonus is the fresh empanadas they have at the counter!! Amazing customer service and very friendly environment!

Authentic Mexican food! Salsa and guacamole is a must have. They only provide you with one complementary basket of chips and salsa, then you have to pay for it. The mexican tacos remind me of being back in Mexico and getting tacos off the street, very authentic and delicious! We love how reasonably priced the food is here. Just and FYI, they are closed on Wednesday's.

This place is what you would call, “Authentic Mexican Food”. Family of two generations that has been running the restaurant. When you arrive they give you chips and salsa, classic style. I recommend it to anyone looking for the cultural flavors.

The food was great. The waitress came to the table a few times asking if we needed anything which I thought was helpful. I enjoyed my lunch, it was a good experience.

Been a while since I came here, absolutely love the new decor. As always the food is delicious and hits the spot. The owners are a blessing to the community. Hope nothing for the best for them and their family.

Loved it.... they were slammed on Mothers day AND after a youth track meet and yet managed to get us seated and served in a VERY reasonable time. We had the carne asada.... excellent!

Great food. Good atmosphere. Very popular place. Nice arrangement of choice of Mexican food and good beverages. Plenty of food on the plate, so come in with an empty stomach. You will love it

The Mezican style chorizo tacos are my favorite. The verde has great flavor and a good kick to it. My only complaint would be that the rice is a tiny bit bland, but everything else has plenty of flavor to make up for it.
