Dutch Country General Store: Bloomfield

Lots of great items available here from toys and gifts to home decor. The bulk food items are some of the best things you can find and they have a wide variety of bulk food products at great prices. The entire store is very clean and organized and easy to walk through. Great place for Christmas shopping or any other time of year.

We thought it was a grocery store. It's so much more. It has a deli with wonderful chocolates too. Unusual toys everywhere and puzzles Handmade baskets and bulk candy bins. The best part to me was the hand stitched quilts.

Awesome store that caters not only to tourists, but to locals as well. Huge selection of old time candies & toys, natural wares such as beeswax candles and soaps & a wide variety of spices! Place offers fresh foods like cheese & meats, homemade chocolates & even soft serve ice cream is available.
Back wall of ground level has several different sodas to choose from such as ranch & bacon flavored. Our daughter played it safe with strawberry shortcake soda.
Huge store with ground level and upstairs packed full of wares. Prices vary, but several items were very reasonable priced. Plenty of parking.
Definitely worth a visit.

We love to stop by and walk around! Tons of candy, toys (lots of Melissa & Doug!), house decorations, baking mixes, local goods (cheese curds, honey, dips, mixes, etc) and store made sweets! Always grab a free snack to go before you leave - popcorn, ice cream cone, samples!

The store was soooo nice! They have everything you need here! Planters, honey, popcorn, birthday gifts, sandwiches, games! The store is super clean and the staff is super nice!!

Go to the deli first and order a 6" sub for $5. Delicious. Get your deli meat and cheese order going then shop. They have the BEST selection of Melissa and Doug toys. A kind lady helped me carry my bags to my car.

This is such a fun store! So many things I love! Coffee, candy, cookware and a free ice creame cone! What's not to love!

We were in the area visiting friends and stopped. This place has everything! The peanut brittle was awesome. We picked up a couple gifts for friends. A must stop if you are in the area. Also Free ice cream cone.

Huge selection of toys. In fact, most of the top level was toys! Tons of furniture from wood to hard plastic. Lots of food and spices. Pretty much something for everyone here! Don't forget your free I've cream cone.

Passing by and I couldn't resist stopping. They had a wonderful selection of unique toys and candy. I enjoyed a FRESH Sandwich from the deli that was very reasonably priced. I will definitely return.

Nice place to stop, offer free ice cream, great selection of candy and snacks. Workers are very friendly. We stop there every time when visiting Iowa.

This is a wonderful stop for homemade goods, baking ingredients and deli items! Clean store, friendly staff, and great location. The nut butters are so delicious! Butterscotch peanut butter was my favorite. Great place to stop near Bloomfield, IA!

Many one-of-a-kind items perfect for that hard-to-shop-for person on your list are here! You're greeted with beautiful arrangements of hanging flower baskets and patio furniture that is homemade. You'll want to spend hours browsing through the bulk spices, herbs, candies, candles, and items to make your house a home! Don't worry about if you get hungry. They've got that covered, too! Try one of their deli sandwiches-my favorite is their pulled pork! (Ice cream cone for dessert!) Then climb the gorgeous staircase and explore the upstairs filled with toys- healthy and fun toys-for educational development or simply for entertainment. Look at the wall decor and unique wood furniture offered! The whole place is packed with WOW! Staff is quietly in the background ready to provide any help you may need. This is a "MUST SEE" when you're in the neighborhood!

This is a really fun place to stop on your way through the area. It has a large variety of foods, candies, home goods and toys. They offer free ice cream, popcorn and coffee.

They got it all. Great stop. I bought some Rada knives, a toy for my grandsons birthday, some produce and dairy.....love stopping here while passing through.

One of my favorite places to stop when I drive up to Iowa. Good food and shopping with many fun items I've never seen anywhere else (chocolate flavored soda anyone?) Also the free ice cream cone and popcorn are always a hit!

Love this store..I stop for ice cream whenever I'm In the area..pocket knives, make your own peanut butter..kayaks..they have alot to see
