Little Mexico Restaurant

Our order could have been taken sooner, considering that we came in at the end of the lunch "rush" and our party of two were the only customers there. However, things picked up and the food was at proper temperature and delicious. Nice authentic decor; not a cookie-cutter, stereotypical Mexican place. We'll come back next time we're through Mount Pleasant.

Little Mexico, us just that! Authentic Mexican food with a Thai flare and Iowan hospitality! The fusion of flavors like the Mango jalapeno shrimp, or the fresh salsa sever in a decanter, combines with the frescos on the wall were stunning.

We drove all the way from Burlington just to taste the legendary dishes, and suggest you do as well. Certainly a dinning experience your taste buds will love.

Not quite sure why so much hate on this place. I’m from Chicago and have traveled everywhere throughout the country. I thought the food and service was excellent. The fresh clean tablecloths were a nice touch. We went to see the lights for Christmas and stopped in with the family. Glad we did.

This place is an absolute gem! The food was excellent and authentic, the sauce on the Allen's special was one of the most delicious things I've eaten in a very long time. Don't forget dessert! The sweet chimi is cheap, beyond delicious and perfect to share. We see why people come here once a week!

Very good food here and fast service. Don't overlook the salmon and grilled veggies on the menu, it was delicious! Salmon cooked and seasoned until perfectly flaky with fresh grilled veggies. Such a healthy option! Definitely coming back!

One word for the food, here - authentic. Whenever we are in this area, we make sure to stop. There are a nice variety of dishes to choose from and we never get tired of trying something new. Kid friendly environment. If you are catching the train in Mount Pleasant, be sure to plan some extra time and stop by for a wonderful meal.

Had the orange roughy special. Delicious and so much food I couldn’t eat it all. Attentive and always friendly service. Margaritas with Patron are wonderful, and salsa is authentic. Come taste and see for yourself!

Very good food at a great price. My roommate and I we just passing through the area and we were pleased with the quality and of quantity food. Anna and here employees were very kind. Definitely going again next time we're in town.

The place is popular, food is tasty an aligned to popular Mexican plates, although Ana's background is Guatemala. She's willing to talk mixing the two languages, but other staff members chose to speak English only, weird. Service would be better if they pay more attention to what's going on in tables.

This is a great little Mexican place. Good service, short wait, and big portions. It's a charming atmosphere that is great for both date nights and family outings. Also good for a quick bite on lunch break. An all around nice place. I'm a fan.

Murals decorating walls made you feel like you were dining South of the Border! Service was prompt and our meals delicious! A pleasant girls day luncheon...we'll be back!!

Little Mexico is my favorite place for Mexican in the region. The salsa is delicious. The atmosphere feels cozy and the wall murals are worth a few minutes of your time to peruse. I recommend the spicy mango Margs and the queso, but everything on the menu is good. I probably eat here way too much, but it's worth it!
