Great crew to work with Cody 😁 is a great listener. Samantha is awesome 👍 checked on me . Susan, and the driver managers and Barb in payroll, Mike Clark , and Mike Holland ,and Bob Holland is too . Too many names to list but all are . They made sure I got in enough miles to get me my bonuses monthly and yearly. They even recognized me for volunteering to help other drivers with loading and unloading during snow blizzards and birthdays and other things you do like letting them know things getting repairs done at a cheaper location and so on . Nice driver lounge and parking area. Can bring rider or pets . The shop is good when you in there just get with Randy , Terrance, or nice young lady and they will get you everything you need before you go out onto road . Great Plains Transport is one of the best to pull for for you drivers who like to run all over and stay out awhile so if you got a year or two of clean driving record and background and can pass drug test come abroad !

Family time is important to Great Plains. My husband had a truck breakdown on the way to home time and they (Samantha and whomever she got permissions from) got him home on time with an Uber and a different truck because it was important to Great Plains that he get home the same time as me. We both work here and are grateful for it.

One of the head honchos worked Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so other officer personnel could have that time off.

The stability of a salary-based company with a good business plan is wonderful in today’s economy and the fact that Great Plains takes care of their trucks and trailers is also to be commended…but family time, that’s the kicker!

Feeling blessed in a blizzard on Jesus’ birthday at Great Plains Transport.

Great Plains is truly amazing! They care about all their employees and treat drivers with the respect that is hard to find in this industry. The company is always striving to do better. There is constant communication between ownership and drivers on how we can make the company better today, tomorrow and for the future.

Mike H has a vision for the company and strives everyday to reach those goals. He nor any other office staff will hide anything from employees. You want to know the companies profits from last quarter they will go over it with you. You want to know how much you made the company last week, they will send you a report.

I was truly shocked when I got assigned my truck it was a brand new MACK. I know it was more luck than anything but the fact that they are willing to give new hires new trucks is something you really don't hear about.

Joe in recruiting is the MAN. He will answer any question you have 100% truthful. He is always there for you even after your hired. He has even answered me on the weekends when nobody else was avaliable.

Cody M is an amazing driver manager. He is always there to answer questions and if he doesn't have the answer he is very prompt in telling you who to ask or finding out the answers for you. He will do everything in his power to make sure you are home when you scheduled your hometime.

Great plains does not beat around the bush on anything. They lay out what they expect of you in the very beginning, you follow those rules and policies and you will be good. I do not find forced dispatch a bad thing here. You get paid salary, they DO NOT force you to drive in weather that we, the drivers, find unsafe. They are 100% dedicated to their drivers safety.

When dispatched they give you more than enough time to make your appointment. It can be anywhere from a couple hours to a days worth of cushion. Which is not a bad thing because you're getting paid requardless. They do run mostly recap but as I stated there can be times where you will get a significant downtime just due to warehouse scheduling.

If you're looking for a company that pays well, cares about their drivers, is upfront and honest then come to Great Plains, where you will feel like a part of the team, not a truck number.

Greatest company that I have had the pleasure of working with love the fact that I'm not having to chase a mile to make a paycheck. Like you do with most other driving jobs.

Great company to work with. Darrell Bradford from the very first time I made contact with him, he was respectful and not arrogant, like some people in the industry that act like they are doing you a favor. He values truckers and he makes sure they are taken care of.

Working at GPT has been a pleasure. Equipment is great. Shop staff has always taken care of me. Accounting never misses a beat when I have a question or concern (and my check is always right 😀). Dispatch and office staff treat me like they are glad I work here. Hauling good freight in a truck I want to drive, who could ask for more. After almost 26 years, driving, I couldn’t recommend them more.

I’ve been driving commercially 38 years. This is BY FAR the most professional, well run transportation company I’ve ever been associated with. Go spend some time OTR at other companies…. Then get here and see how good life can be. It’s trucking people, not a desk job. The transportation industry is a very dynamic, ever evolving entity. If you can’t drive 600 miles per day, then stay home and sell Girl Scout cookies. If you want to be treated with professionalism and integrity, it flows in bountiful abundance here. Do the job, respect your equipment and cash the checks.

I have only been driving here for 90 day's. But with 33 years under my belt I have seen alot of the good and bad out here. This is by far the greatest group of people I have worked with. If you just do your job safely and efficiently you will not have any issues. Their Dispatch team is nothing short of amazing, shop is great and The office staff have always been great. The owners are Straight forward and Honest and that's all I can ask for. Should have came here years ago.

Management and Owner are really super nice and easy to talk to. I felt welcome and treated not just as an expendable driver but as a family member. Come join the Team, you’ll see what I’m talking about. Promise.

Great company. Some of the ones that are giving bad feedback. Maybe try to reason to make things work for it to be a better company for you. Understanding is the key to success.

Great Place to work. Very much appreciated change from the same ol type of trucking companies. Super nice staff. By far my favorite place Ive ever worked! Highly recommend for drivers that can think for themselves and want to not be micro managed. Ill be here the duration it seems so far! My dogs love it as well. And I love my truck!

Been working for GPT for a few months as owner op. Great staff, great equipment, lots of heavy and light loads mixture of it all. Running around 3500 miles a week. Money is good. Owners and everyone else is amazing at this place. They treat you with respect and as a person not just a number/driver. The shop and staff are on point as well. Glad to be here.

I have been here over a year now, very happy with the move I made. They do what they say, they do not pull punches, the $50.00 worth of groceries when I started was a true blessing. No job is perfect, they all have speed bumps, this is no different, but I can say that I do believe I have found a good home for a long time.

An amazing team to work with. I've only been driving with them 8 months, but I can't even imagine being anywhere else.

Edit: Three years with em now. Still awesome.

Changing review. Old one was unfair. Personal issues were vented. Salary is a good deal, just be ware of what the taxes will pull and then the dip from health insurance and stuff. GPT kept their composure, I did not. True long haul company.
