El trancazo

This is a friendly place to eat, with delicious hot food. I have eaten a lot of bland beef burritos at various Mexican restaurants around the area. That’s not what you’ll find here. The food is tasty and Alejandro and her staff make you feel right at home.

Stopped here for a late lunch (1pm) and enjoyed my meal! The pollo taco salad was exactly what I was craving. I also enjoyed the fries and queso as an appetizer. Finally I had a Horchata for desert and it was super refreshing.

I live in California and travel to Mexico frequently. When it comes to Mexican food I have some high expectations. This location exceeded those expectations! Thanks.

We all made happy plates. This is a great little family run Mexican restaurant that we happened upon. We ended up so full and happy. My husband loved his fajitas with chicken and chorizo. My chicken fajitas were very well seasoned and cooked. The complimentary salsa was thick and tasty. My daughter really enjoyed her crunchy kid's taco. We will definitely make it a point to come back next time we're in the area.

This place is a hidden gem! I live in San Diego, and love Mexican food. However it always seems that the further you get from the border, the less "authentic" Mexican food is. Well, that is not the case here! This is a family owned business that had three generations working the night I stopped there, and let me sure you the work they put into it shows. I had the chicken mole enchiladas, and it was amazing! Good mole is hard to do well, and it's harder to find!! But I found it in Pratt, Kansas. My only regret is that it's so far away from San Diego, I don't know when I'll be able to get back... Service was excellent, food was excellent, and the prices not crazy.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and we finally went today for lunch!!! Amazing amazing food like wow!!! I had the chimichanga loca my toddler she had thr Pollo bandido. She's never had Mexican food and she liked it alot especially the salsa!!!! Will definitely be back and highly recommend

We went here for our 10th wedding anniversary and the waitress and her daughter waited on us. They were so nice, very attentive, and the food was really great.

Amazing service! Greeted with a smile even at 15 minutes to close. Salsa is spicy! Margarita is very tasty! Great experience all around.

This is a special place with a down home vibe and incredibly friendly and welcoming service. These are custom prepared dishes with a unique spices and careful preparation. The salsa served with chips at the table was enhanced by an extra level of fresh spice - most likely mexican oregano. Different in a good way. The tacos de birria con consomé en plancha were amazing. shredded tender beef with complex spices served as a row of four home fried taco shells on a fajita platter with grilled onions and a perfectly grilled jalapeno. Dipping the Tacos in the consomme created a spicy and flavorful result. A light green salsa cooled the experience and added more complexity to the flavor.

That place was amazing. I don’t drive through here very often but I will 100% come back next time I drive through. I just got the combo tacos which were awesome. And if you can make simple tacos that great I can only imagine how good the rest of the food it. Thank you guys the staff was very friendly also

Went to Pratt to watch a softball game and decided to go to this restaurant and we where glad we did cause the food was very delicious and the young daughter that was our waitress was very good and sweet. If we ever travel to that area again we will definitely stop there again.

Long 10 hour drive from new mexico. We walked in close to closing and they stayed open for us and I am so glad! My friend and I loved this place. Great food, really good margaritas and awesome staff! Thank you ❤❤

Got to Pratt, KS, on our roundtrip on my birthday and went there for dinner with my wife. Best idea ever ! It was awsome.
If you get to Pratt eat there. Meals were extremely delicious and worth every cent.
Unbeliefable nice stuff - we stayed there for more than another 1/2 hour after paying just to chat with them.

Good Food, nice place, friendly.

First time customer. I was impressed with their large portion sizes. Food was hot and delicious, server was friendly and efficient. Plus I really enjoyed the singing from the kitchen (someone must really love their job) 😉

My son and I were just passing through and had our dinner here. This was during Covid, where all the restaurants back in MN were closed. What a great experience to come in, sit down, and enjoy a very good Mexican dinner. Very nice wait staff, seemed to be a family owned business, which I always like to support. If I ever pass through Pratt again, will eat here.

We've ordered out several times. The food is always hot and fresh, and they are super friendly! We'll keep coming back!
