Altenhofen Inn & Suites

We found ourselves driving 25mph in a heavy snowstorm, decided to go no further and came across this hotel. We wondered how a hotel in the middle of nowhere could have such high reviews. Wow!! Were we surprised!! This was amazing!! So clean and so kept up!! Plus FREE BREAKFAST! The gal checking us in was so nice as was the gal next morning! She never stopped working, checking people out of their room and tending to the breakfast items. If we ever found ourselves near here again we would happily stay!! Thank you so much Altenhofen’s for making such a nice clean place to stay!

Great place to stay and great value. 5 stars on everything from cleanliness to customer service. Best breakfast I've ever had in a motel! Would definitely stay here again....

Personal are very friendly. Home away from home. Enjoyed there full breakfast. Walking distance to dollar general for any needs.

It might be once in a blue moon you find yourself resting up in sunny Seneca Kansas. If so, you’ll be glad to rest your head on an Althofen pillow. Althofen: where the breakfast is free, the pool is opened, and the rooms are available for rent.

We came out this way to participate in the Axtell, Kansas, 150th anniversary, and since there are no hotels in the town of Axtell, we decided to stay here at Altenhofen Inn & Suites, which is not even 15 minutes away. The hotel was quiet, clean, and charming. Upon entering the lobby, we found complimentary cookies for us, the guests, to enjoy. We had a relaxing swim in the indoor saltwater pool, and they also have a jacuzzi, although we couldn't figure out how to get it heated up. The little coffee maker in the room was so easy to use, and the decaf coffee was surprisingly good! We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit.

The motel was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Sausage eggs biscuits gravy cereal waffle ect. One of best hotel stayed at on our trip

My husband has family nearby and we stay here three or four times a year. The owners could not be nicer, and every time we visit something has been added or updated. It's easy to see this is a local, family owned hotel, with a lot of pride for its tiny little town. It has a great pool and breakfast too!

This past weekend we had a family event in nearby Corning. About 16 of us stayed at the Altenhofen and all of us were pleased. The rooms and common areas are clean and look new, beds comfortable, breakfast is standard motel fare but good. All the staff that we encountered were courteous, efficient and helpful. They lived up to their reputation of being the best accommodations within 30 miles of Seneca.

Upon calling them, the employee was very hospitable and was trying to help me. When I arrived, the process took no more than about five minutes to get my room. There are only two floors so it's not much walking, which is a good thing I'll say.

Before heading up to my room, I noticed a plate of freshly baked cookies. Asking the front desk employee and she said they are for the customers. How amazing is that? Pretty amazing I'll say.

After that, I got up to my room and it was clean as it should be. Sometimes you have to worry about that but alas, not here. I even provided some pictures to show you the current state of my room upon arriving.

The complimentary breakfast was good. It was from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m., which is a nice change of pace because most of the time, it's like 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. This gives the customers who have to get back on the roads early a chance to eat still.

With that being said, I highly recommend this Inn if you are passing through town and want a enjoyable experience. I surely wasn't disappointed. Be sure to stay with your friends and family too. Last but not least, I know this was probably one of my best memories for an Inn. So thank you Altenhofen Inn & Suites.

I have stayed here between 30-40 times this year. The company I work for is real close to Seneca and we have a lot of international travelers that stay here. The staff here is exceedingly friendly and attentive. I stay all over the world and these folks are incredible.

Altenhofen Inn & Suites is a top rate facility. Pleasant employees, very clean every where I went. Decent sized pool, and the continental breakfast was fair. I will stay again if I am in Seneca overnight.

Nice clean room and wonderful staff. Bryce who checked me in was very friendly, warm, and welcoming.

I stayed at the Settle Inn this past summer and brought my dog. My dog unfortunately got loose and I searched for her all day long. When I told the staff they helped me put a reward out for her and after their shift was over they would help me look. It was so sweet! We ended up finding her the next day and I was sooo thankful for all their help.

This is our new favorite place to stay! Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and their pricing is great! I highly recommend this place
