Clean and well taken care of. There's a six mile trail around the park that is a great hike! Love the marina too.

This was my first visit here and I will definitely be back!! The ladies who work the check in booth are very nice & helpful! The lake is gorgeous! We had the best camping spot right by the water for our kayaks! Beautiful sunrise & sunsets!! Love it here!!

Expansive campground! Even though it was retro camper weekend there was plenty of sites to choose from. Marina was open late, small selection. Live band was fantastic. Showers were cold, not an ounce of hot water.

Stayed at Lakota Cabin- although dog friendly the door can be opened from the inside if locked on the outside which means our dogs went for a little adventure. Otherwise our stay was spectacular. Highly recommend the cabins!

PLENTY of camping spots to choose from. $5 for a day pass , $12 for a camping pass. Bring water shoes! Very rocky. Plenty of people out fishing as well. Wish I brought a fishing rod myself!

Stayed a week at a cabin on the Vassar side and it was absolutely amazing. Our porch was within 75 feet of the water and fishing was Abundant. The cabin itself is exceptionally quaint and very well kept with all dishes and cookware supplied. There is a small disc golf course that is fun to play. The marina has carp that come to the docks and you can hand feed and even pet. Donna, the lady that keeps the cabins and camp area tidy is one of the sweetest persons you could ever meet but this was her last season and it's SD to see such a good person go. If you are wanting a little cozy escape from everyday life I very highly recommend checking out the park. Be prepared to put your phones down too because coverage is poor but that's one of the best things there. 10/10 will definitely go again!

This is a really nice and clean lake. We stayed in cabins, which were clean and maintained. The host were super nice. The lake is very close to the cabins. The marina is stocked, clean and the clerk is super nice. I'd definitely recommend and return.

Overall a nice place to camp. Nice lake for the kids to camp and not overly crowded. We used the primitive sites which are well kept and make it easy to set up camp and have access to you vehicle.

Very nicely kept. We stayed in Takoma cabin. Clean. Efficient layout. Modern. Wonderful deck with lake close through the trees. Plenty of walking trails. Beach looked inviting. We've booked Lakota for next time. We think it has very slightly better view of the lake through the trees. Booking through reserveamerica.com ultimately worked, but was confusing.

Its such a beautiful, peaceful park/lake. The bathrooms and shower rooms are very clean as well. Rangers do drive around lot which is nice. It is on the expensive side but its definitely worth it.

Huge sites give the kids room to run around and there's a nice walking trail that makes my little beagle's nose happy as can be! There's also a beach within walking distance of where we were staying (but it was far too cold to test the water) and a marina close by. The staff in the state park office was friendly and helpful.

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want the Park to get crowded! It was just what our family needed. Beautiful, peaceful, and pure camping.
The lake is gorgeous and there are so many camp sites to choose from. Paying/ parking was simple and inexpensive.
Can't wait to go back!

A calmer state park that is close to the KC metro. We had one neighbor three sites away in one of the primitive tent areas. The fire rings were new, but a little on the small side. Helpful staff at the kiosk and the office. There's a mix of pit toilets and plumbed toilets that are a mix of cleanliness as you might expect. A few small playgrounds at the park were good places to spend time with my kid.

We have camped here over the years. We had a family reunion here and the memories came back of all the fun times. Many beautiful places to camp. This lake also has all types of camping spots from cabins, electric and water and septic, as well as primitive sites.

Great State Park...after visiting many in the state of Kansas this is by far the best so far. 15 yrs of camping & Pamona has a lot to offer

Great camping spot! Facilities are on par for the rest of Kansas State Parks, but always a nice quiet camping experience. Right off the Flint Hills Nature Trail too, perfect for a base camp for a weekend of adventures!

We stayed at the Pamona state park in the Kansa background near the marina. The shower house was the cleanest I've ever seen at a Kansas state park. Very impressed. The marina was nice and Mike was extremely helpful. This a great place to go camping.

Umm.. It is the only state lake I am close too. I was on a boat so that made everything perfect. It didn't smell like dead fish and a nice gentleman towed us in when the pontoon coded. I love veterans!
