Sterling Lake

Sterling Lake was Great. Very peaceful and tranquil. A wonderful change in pace.

We are from out of town and heard we should come here for a picnic. We did just that. The grounds are beautiful. We saw people walking around the lake, people fishing, kids playing on the playground. It’s very well kept. There was plenty of parking. We plan to return as we only stayed on one side but want to see more next time we’re in town.

A great place to watch the ducks, fish, picnic. Outstanding firework show on the 4th of July!

The lake is decent for intown! There's a pool, splash pad, ramadas, a fix it yourself bike rack with tools attached, a couple playgrounds, a decent bathroom, benches to sit on around the lake, volleyball nets in sand, wildlife all around. We seen fish in the pond and turtles. Plenty of parking spots.

As a touring bicyclist, the warm shower was greatly appreciated. It was a bonus add to the beautiful park.

A very awesome park well maintained and used. The RV camping area has full hookups and WiFi I believe that it's $20 a night, tents free. It has a pool and outside of the pool house water spray. Walk.atound the park is well used by the locals, pet friendly. My son even seen a tiny puppy that was only eight weeks old. Public restrooms were clean and the other end of the RV park. No pull through, back in only but lots of room. Suggest an early start for 4th of July, heard that it gets full.

It is a very nice place to go and have a picnic or casually fish. If you have kids it has playgrounds.

One of the cleanest parks in Kansas. Great little municipal RV campground with limited spots. Great family park with lots to do. Disc golf, fishing lake, tennis courts, basketball courts, outdoor gathering gazebos, huge swimming pool, 2 playgrounds for the kiddos, and a nice splash pad for the littlest ones. Really nice. Definitely a community pride project and a great place for community events. Well done Sterling Kansas !

The splash pad is a fun, free place for kiddos in the hot summer months! Beautiful lake with lots of ducks and fish.

It was a very beautiful lake. We were there for a car show, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Where if you are looking for somewhere to swim, this is not the place. However, they do have a waterpark right next to the lake, as well as a swimming pool.

It's a beautiful lake and Park area. This weekend was the Trick or Treats around the lake. This is a great town and full of wonderful people and they fed us hot dogs and chips for a donation if you could for their food bank .
Also FYI their fourth if July celebration is one of the best I've been to in a small town setting over the same lake.

Sterling is a beautiful town. I'm from Norman Oklahoma and my best friend & his wife just moved from there. Always great to come back to your fantastic town. Thanks for having me!

Great park for a small town. Multiple playground areas with great equipment. Kids loved the enormous splash pad. Plenty of trees surrounding the lake makes a great picnic spot.

It's great. You can fish, feed the ducks and squirrels, swim at the pool, play at the splash pad, or just relax in the shade.

Very scenic little lake with a public pool and splash pad play area, also camping for everything from tents to RV, play areas with swings and climbing also, pretty good fishing as it is stocked by KS. Wildlife and Parks

Lovely local setting with lake playground areas swimming pool and walking path Well maintained year around camping sites. A water park has been added and residents of sterling can swim free during the summer.

Nice little city park with RV camping. Also tent camping is free...but the RV folks were parking in the tent area. Beautiful little lake and park. Walking trail around the park. I loved that people were out walking and kids riding bikes even when it got dark. A very safe place with friendly people. I stayed two nights and slept great....quiet.
