Smile Safari Pediatric Dentistry

First time taking my two and a half year old son with special needs to the dentist. I absolutely loved the safe and fun lobby for my son to play while we waited.
Rebecca was an absolute God sent! She helped answer all my questions and was extremely kind and understanding with my son.
Once the Doctor checked my son’s teeth she was able to answer all my questions and concerns as well.
I highly recommend for anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.

The dental hygienist Adryanna, was wonderful! She made sure that my children felt safe. She explained every tool in a fun and playful way to my curious 4 year old boy and was so gentle and kind with my sweet 2 year old girl. Dr Trey did an absolute wonderful job engaging with both of my children.
I could not be happier with the service.

Ms. Stephanie at Safari Smile was so amazing with my son, James! Usually he’s very shy, timid, and nervous at the dentist but Ms. Stephanie was engaging and made the whole visit super fun. James was nothing but smiles the whole time and ended the visit with telling Ms. Stephanie “I like you!”. As a parent it was a huge relief and less stressful knowing my son was was enjoying himself and not screaming and crying like he’s done during previous visits. We hope to see Ms. Stephanie again!

Absolutely love this place. They are so great with my kids from the beginning thru the end. I never have issues forgetting appointments with their confirmation system, they treat my kids well, always get them appointments in a timely manner... Highly recommend Dr Trey and his office!!!!

We are very happy with the care we get. They were able to get my daughter in very quick. They took the time to help her stay comfortable. We saw Dr.Brown. He went above and beyond to help my daughter. Checked in with us after we had to go see the derby oral surgery for her wisdom teeth to make sure we didn’t need anything and her pain was under control. I recommend this dentist office to everyone. Both of my kiddos go here. The office staff is so helpful and kind.

My son was referred to Smile Safari Pediatric Dentistry by our hometown Dentist several years ago because of the extent of work that needed to be done at his age. Smile safari has an inviting and child centered environment that helps our children to feel a little less anxious having cleanings and any other procedures that can be scary. My son isn’t the easiest patient to work with and everyone there gives him so much grace, patience, and understanding of his anxiousness and apprehension. The BEST dentist office I've ever been to. It's so cute in there! My little girl screamed the whole time (she's 3) and she would not comply, they were more then patient with her. We already love it here and we will continue here for the entire time my husband is stationed here.

I’ve been taking my kids for 2-3 years now. All of the staff and doctors we’ve seen have been wonderful! They are very accommodating to large families during scheduling and during the appointment time. Very organized. The only downside is they have a lot of clients because they are so great so scheduling is usually a few months out.

We have seen 2 different Doctors at safari & both have been fantastic. Always very detailed, caring & helpful. Their assistance staff is phenomenal & for sure what keeps us coming back. They are so great with my young young kids. Grateful I made the choice to switch to here! Thanks for being so caring & making it feel as if you are apart of my village & not after money!

My daughter took a softball to the face and she had a chipped tooth and another tooth was nearly out. We thought the tooth that was falling out was a permanent tooth and so we called after hours. Dr. Trey and his family met us at his office within 20 minutes, even though it was after hours (630 pm). Dr. Trey was great! He reassured us and our daughter that it was a baby tooth that was loose and he repaired the chipped tooth. He left a dinner with his friends and family to repair our daughter's tooth. We really appreciate Dr. Trey as not only did he repair her tooth but he put my daughter's and our own worries to rest. He is one of the best!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. They’re so kind and patient. They take their time and handle each child no matter the circumstances with so much compassion. My oldest has autism and sometimes he doesn’t understand when they ask if he has any questions and even when it has absolutely nothing to do with dentistry they answer or genuinely seem interested in the things he is when he talks about it to them. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Completely phenomenal experience with the entire staff ! I’ve been taking all four of my children to this office for 3 + years now and I usually bring all 4 at once. My children don’t like getting any type of dental exams or work done and all four of them being combative all at the same time can be extremely stressful. But every visit I get the best experience and care as a parent and my kids always leave happy!

Love Casey the assistant so much! She was very sweet, informative & interactive with my son the whole visit. That girl needs a raise 😁 Dr Trey is fabulous too!
We drive 35 mins one way to the Derby office.

LOVED! Staff were amazing and welcoming. They did amazing with my daughter. She is a little much at some times but they handled things to effortlessly. Thank you so much!

The staff was so friendly to the kids and made going to the dentist fun. The assistant was so kind. She took the time to explain what the tools were for. The kids had a blast. They both asked when they could go back. 😁

My 4yr old son needed a extensive amount of work done. I found this office on Google and I am so glad I did! Dr. Khemka, and her staff did a amazing job with my son, and she made sure we knew exactly what they were doing beforehand! I was super nervous about my son being put under, but the anesthesiologist (Jennie) took a extra amount of time to go over everything more then once for this worried mama! Between Dr. Khemka & Jennie & their incredible staff they eased my nerves so my son could get the much needed work done! During the surgery the nurse came out to let me know everything was going good and how my son was doing! While my son was waking up both Dr. Khemka & Jennie both went over everything that happened in the surgery, as well as what to expect after and answer any other questions or concerns we had! They both provided us with their personal cell phone numbers to call or text with any questions or concerns at any point! We also received a follow up call a few hours later to check on our son! This team is amazing & the staff at the Derby office are amazing! I will take our son to them until they tell me he is to old for a children’s dentist! 100% recommend! Thank you for not only your amazing work, but for your passion for kids, your care for the family’s, and all around making us feel like we mattered!

My son loves all the employees! He struggles with new people... he is very shy and nervous. Even on his first visit, he just jumped in the chair and laid back. We tried 3 other dental offices before Smile. None could even get him to sit in their chairs.

Always a great experience. My son has severe dentist anxiety and they are always so patient with him. Dr. Trey is awesome and always talks about video games with my son and he loves it!

Nothing is easy with 3 kids but ALL the employees went above and beyond to make it as smooth as possible. I didn't even have an appointment for my 1 year old and they squeezed him in with the other kiddos so we didn't have to come back. I was not expecting that! 100/10 for customer service and when leaving the kids asked when they get to go back!!
