Ultra Modern Pool and Patio - Derby

I came in on a Sunday and the line was long to get my water tested. I noticed there was only 1 employee testing water, ringing up customers, and acknowledging every customer who walked in. He was incredibly nice and patient with every customer and gave each person the time and attention they needed. Even after he helped us all he would check and make sure we were still doing ok and asked if we had any additional questions. His knowledge on pool chemistry is OUTSTANDING! His name is Espen and he deserves a raise for taking care of several jobs and he’s one person!!!!

Needed a hard to find motor for an older super pump and they got it for me in one day. They then had all the gaskets/seals I needed to rebuild the pump waiting for me when I picked up the pump. Great customer service!

Espen was very patient and understanding being short handed, he took time to explain to each customer exactly what they needed and how to apply the product they were buying all while being backed up with customers in the store and keeping a good attitude! Good Work Espen!

I have had Ultra Modern for 3 years. They have kept pool sparkling. John and Ceasar have been able to teach me a few things about my pool and don't mind me asking stupid questions.
Kristen and Leslie have fixed a couple of minor problems via text. Dexter use to clean my steps where they sparkled like new.

The people at the Derby Ultra Modern have always been extremely helpful with keeping our pool looking and feeling great. The chemicals they have are high quality. We take advantage of the preseason sales, which they are kind enough to call and remind us of. We are very thankful that we have this store in Derby.

Our experience with Ultra Modern Pool & Patio out of Derby was a positive experience. We had knowledge going into our purchase of another hot tub due to 3 other tubs purchased over the last 32 years. Nathan Abraham was easy to talk to and straight forward with his answers to our questions. Our purchase was all done by phone and e-mails. We were able to purchase and close our deal within 3 hours. We had talked to 3 other hot tub companies and knew Nathan was giving us everything Ultra Modern could offer. The delivery crew arrived early on a cold February day, removed our old tub and placed the new tub without complaining or damaging anything near our tub location. Prior too, during and after the installment of the tub. The Derby home office called us, texted us and e-mailed us checking to see if we needed any assistance or guidance with the new tub. The Derby Ultra Modern, 6 days after the installment, has checked in with us to show there support. We did call into the Derby office once with a question and Nathan was not in. Rachel who also works at the Derby store, knew our name, the tub we purchased and answered our question without even looking at our file. Nathan, Rachel as well as the delivery supervisor, have provided us with there cell phone numbers in case we need anything. I have tried two of these numbers after hours and received a response back within a shirt period of time. We are happy with our purchase and feel comfortable going into the future, knowing Ultra Modern stays in contact with there customers.

I am very pleased with Ultra Modern Pool. The communication with all the companies involved was fantastic. I ordered The Billabong Cove Barrierreef Fiberglass Pool. I love the tanning ledge, the safety ledge that goes around the perimeter of the pool and the seats at the deep end of the pool with steps to exit. It was just over a month from first dig to ending with concrete, with a few rain days during the process. Started on 6/13/22 and finished on 7/14/22 and I had a lot of extra concrete poured. I am very pleased with all the companies that were involved - M&J Installations and GMAC Construction. They all brought my dream together. Thank you Ultra Modern Pools for having some great companies behind you.

I do know know the names of the people who helped me. We were in desperate need to get our pump up and rubbing. Thanks to the wonderful man sitting at the desk he was able to get us a motor and the parts we needed. And now our swimming (pond) looks like a swimming pool again. We will continue to go to Derby for our swimming pool needs. As we tried various other places that really didn’t want to help us out. Thanks Derby as usual you were able to take care of us. And we live in Arkansas City Ks.

The Derby store has been a super big help with my pool. They are very knowledgeable on my needs and have helped keep my pool in use. Thank you so much. This has been a true challenge this summer for sure since I didn't cover it over the winter. Lesson learned.

Purchased a Jacuzzi hot tub on Mothers day,2018 from Ultra Modern in Derby,KS. The entire process went very smoothly. Worked with Nathan at ultra modern who answered all of our questions and made several recommendations and suggestions without making us feel pressured in the least. He worked hard that day getting us the best deal possible on our new tub. We were given a 4 week delivery time which turned in to 2 1/2 weeks. My hot tub was there before I was ready so it was conveniently stored at their warehouse while site prep was going on. Unfortunately I worked the day of delivery but wife stated from arrival to departure was just under an hour. Delivery crew was very professional and informative explaining all of the units features. They also went over some do's and don'ts for first time owners not addressed in pre-delivery or owners manual. From start to finish a very rewarding experience. Thanks to Nathan and his team.

Our pool has a serious algae problem and looks like a pond instead of a pool, maybe a swamp. We needed chemicals to nuke the algae and suggestions. She was awesome and so helpful. I don’t remember her name, but she gave me simple directions and we followed them exactly as she said. The pool looks a lot better now, at least we can see the bottom in the shallow areas.
