Riggs Park

Great park, but we (our Scout Troop) were there for the Haysville Living History Rendezvou, Nov. 3-5, 2023.

Beautiful park. A lot of area. Nice eating pavilion. Good clean restrooms and a nice shelter, if needed. Also had a nice band shell, for performances.

A great spot to visit every year! We do living history and Riggs Park has been our rondevu point for several years now! We love the location and the city Park staff are always helpful! I come with some extra needs and they have always been great at accommodations and working with the community.

Consider me biased, but I was born in Haysville and Riggs park has been a blissful component of my life. Riggs Park has evolved through several decades. The Cowskin Creek runs right through the park where I fished for crawdads, built hideouts, and had incredible cottonwood trees with giant root structures exposed by the creeks erosion. The tree we called "the Couch" is just a stump along it paved bike path, however the roots are tentacled about its adjacent subterranean cliff. Riggs Park has an Amazing Fall Festival every October and plenty of other beautiful interests like disc golf and public fishing (with proper state license). A public stage/bandshell has been there for 40 years at least and plenty of playground equipment. Although I still miss the super sketchy all metal playgrounds that claimed a few teeth and scars this park is set up perfectly.

I love this park. Centrally located, close to the Wichita Indian and so much for the kiddos to do.

The Haysville Bazaar was fun. The vendors were varied. There was a small food court. There was a carnival. There were several shows including a car show. I had fun and will go again next year.

Our trip to Riggs Park this time was to check out their Splash Pad with our grandchildren. It is free and the children had a wonderful time! We do wish there were more seating in the shaded areas (bring your lawn chairs).

What a nicely kept park with the coolest old tree stump right along the water & the trail, super friendly visitors who were kind enough to smile & chat with us about the nuances of the sport as we passed through their frisbee golf game on the way to a geocache. If we weren't in a hurry to get back to Nebraska before midnight, we may've stuck around & checked out more of the park. We did like the part we saw.

We went here after the parade. It was nice. People were friendly.

The 4th of July was an absolute blast. Great band, good food and an awesome display of fireworks. Definitely showing USA some love. I also want to give a shout out to the police officers on duty. They were some of the nicest officer's I've met while still being 100% professional! Thank you to all the city workers of Haysville for making it a Grand day.

Love this park and it is plenty big to run with your dog. It has disc golf and in the summer there is a pool and splash pad right around the corner!

We parked her to watch my granddaughter do Christmas caroling.

Not a bad little park at all and the little covered venue is nice for kids' performances and birthday parties/family get-togethers. It's always been clean whenever I've been there and with the exception if a few, folks seem to do a pretty good job of cleaning up after their dogs when walking them there. Nice big trees and plenty of shade too.

Really cute 9 hole disc golf course. We liked the creek and pond throughout. Needed some help navigating the course but that's not out of the normal. Looked to be be a fun place with playground and stage plus gazebo and picnic coverings

This is a pretty nice park that the kids enjoy. They have nice events has well.

I have been going to Riggs park since I was a child! My children played there as well! It's a wonderful environment and place to fish, picnicking is fun as easy, you can even rent a shelter! And is cheap! All three of my kids have had birthday parties there and they turned out great!

Nice park, with two different sets of equipment available to play on! Located just across the street from Haysville Middle School. There is a nine hole disc golf course located throughout the property. Also, a theater stage for performances.. There are covered picnic tables in three locations on this property, and benches throughout for sitting.

Serene and green, ducks and a crane in the pond, great for a family outing or teaching a dog to leash walk. I go off hours to enjoy the serenity and avoid people, which makes it a joyful experience.
