The Original Mexi-Kan Kitchen

Amazing! You get a massive amount of food for pretty cheap—this burrito, rice with refried beans, and a large drink was $10. Everything is made fresh so there’s a small wait, but it’s worth it!
The inside is rather small, but it’s very clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming, and they bring your food out to you which is extra nice. The make their own salsa and guac, too!

From San Antonio, TX do alot of traveling all over US and International. Saw this place the name alone got me interested to try it out and see. Was greated warmly as soon as I entered, the area was very clean and even the kitchen (counter view).

I got the #2 puffy taco and street taco (corn tortilla). The puffy/chicken taco was full of chicken, had a good taste and not dry, which was impressed. it was actually good. The street taco was steak and that as well was very food. next time wil have my puffy taco with steak and chicken. The chips and queso was good, i mean its far much better than the other places, i can say it was good cheese.

In all i was very impressed and it may not be a authentic mexican/taqueria. Thelese mexi-kan can make a good taco! The Salsa i was impressed, taste and freshness.

Came here a 2nd time (Tue) and got steak (1 puffy and two street). Just as good as the one I got before.. They was alittle buy at drive-thru, they still great ppl coming in.

My husband and I absolutely love ❤ this place. We visit at least twice a week (sometimes more if we’re feeling up to it). We only live 10min away so no big deal for us. I always always always get the fish tacos on soft flour shell. These tacos are the best tacos I’ve ever tasted from anywhere and I get brag enough about them. My husband always gets the beef burrito. The flavor of the burrito overall is really good and I would give it a 10. I personally just think it’s the beef is a bit dry. But hey, that’s what sauce is for and he doesn’t think so and he’s eating it so that’s all that matters. I would still choose the burrito from here over any other Mexican facility. . I got a picture of my fish tacos (well I’ve already bitten into one of them) but o couldn’t get a pic of the burrito my husband had. Definitely 10/10 recommended. Never long wait ones and food is always very fresh and delicioso 🤤!!

We really like that it doesn't have the typical local restaurant vibe.
You know the 'hole in the wall, slightly dark, shifty worker' vibe.
This was our first visit and we enjoyed it very much. The menu was a lot to take in, so many options and everything was described. We opted for some specials they were advertising. The puffy taco combo and the fish taco combo were great. We also took advantage of the $5 quesadilla Monday deal for the kids, a full sized burrito tortilla cut into wedges was fantastic for them, even had some leftovers. Wish I had taken pictures of the food, because it looked great! Next time!

Great place for fast-casual Mexican. Restaurant is located in the same building as IHOP. I ordered the Puffy Taco combo, and I would recommend the guac. Meal was very enjoyable with Taco having good amount of beef. Definitely give this place a try!

Really enjoyed having a late lunch here. The chips were very light and fresh, and staff was very accommodating. Would recommend.

I ate here for the first time, with a few friends on Monday and i was impressed. I ordered their #2 which has a puffy taco and regular taco, both with beef as my choice of protein. I throughly enjoyed both but the puffy taco was my favorite by far. I also appreciate that you have your choice of salsa in the form of a small salsa bar, the green salsa was my favorite. I also like the fact that you can get your own refills for drinks.

The owner of the establishment came and talked to the four of us within my group and was so friendly and genuinely concerned about our happiness with the visit. 10/10 experience. Would highly recommend.

The puffy tacos are my family’s favorite tacos by far. The employees were super nice and helpful, made us feel very welcome. Manuel was amazing and made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely come back again.

This place was awesome! I ordered 2 ground beef puffy tacos with beans and rice to go. The tacos were perfect, and the beans and rice were exactly how I like them (I’m super picky about these sides, especially my rice.) The price for everything I got was very reasonable too! Will for sure be going back time and time again to order this same thing and try out what else they have to offer!

Going on previous reviews, we tried it and was not disappointed, this is a great non-tex-mex Mexican restaurant, food was fantastic with good portions as you can see in photos, the bag of chip we got with was plenty for the two of us, would recommend you try it, great choices on menu, plan on trying the Sonoran hotdogs next time...will add to review when done...Sonoran Hot Dog is fantastic tasting with the tosted bun the flavors blend well with the beef dog, absolutely would recommend trying...

Walking in to the place..the savory smell of my Mom's kitchen! The spices are just right in all of the entrees. Staff are clean, respectful and caring. Suggestion to take the salsas to the next level and Mexi Can would be perfection!

I come here frequently, and this last experience pushed me over the edge to give this place a rare 5 star review! Typical tex mex for the area with a few unique options but is FAR better in quality and price than many of the restaurants in the area. I always look forward to coming here after a shift to cool off and enjoy consistently delicious Mexican food and quiet ambience 👍🏻 Wonderful in every department!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the XL Beef Quesadilla with Guacamole and it was delicious. The beef had great seasoning it came out nice and hot with a good amount of cheese melting out of it. I will be back to try other menu items for sure.

This was my first time eating at this place and I have fallen in love with Puffy Tacos! I have told everyone I know to try this place out. The tacos were puffy, crunchy, and filled with delicious meat and toppings. Just a word of warning....the hot sauce is really hot! Next time I think I will go medium...lol. I wish they would open up a place in Wichita.

Me and my wife went a few days ago we had the puffy tacos they were real good. The shells almost reminded me of like a Indian taco . Going back today will try the street tacos this time and I will say the TV did not bother me at all some people just live to find something to be upset about. Know I was watching the football on last time I was in there

Johnny took my order tonight and I wanted to give him a shout out. He was thorough in ensuring my order was correct, made sauce suggestions and then got me signed up for the rewards program- so you know I'll be back. I came to hear what all the buzz was about and boy oh boy am I glad I did. I ordered loaded steak nachos and they were the best I've ever had! When you order Nachos out most places go skimpy on toppings and your left with a bed of sad plain ol dry chips. NOT A PROBLEM HERE! I for the first time had topping left over! Halleluja! I never thought I'd live see the day. I'll never get Nachos anywhere else. A new bar has now been set and Nachos anywhere else would just be a sad reminder of how I'd rather be at Manny's

Excellent puffy and street tacos. Good portions at great prices! Indoor dining area was clean. Service fast, friendly, and courteous. Will definitely eat there again!
