Irma's Restaurant

Driving home decided to stop by for food. Nice little stop on the corner. Food menu on Google maps was a bit outdated, but no big deal.

Had the deluxe Mexican plate with both red and green. The red meat was very well cooked and easily fell apart. The green was equally tender. The cheese enchilada went well with both green and red sauce. You can't get wrong with either one or both. The chile relleno was good with the red and green sauce, but I feel they were too smothered and hid their flavor. Very hard to find good chile rellenos, but Irma's has really good ones. Wish they were bigger though. The taco was very good, great corn tortilla, and seasoned/prepped great.

I also had a gordita on the side. Never seen one that was deep fried as they do it here, but I wanted to try it. The deep fried tortilla was very crispy and held up great. Wasn't too greasy or soggy, so it was perfect. Had it with the carne asada which was cooked and prepared great. It was stuffed to the brim, but it was a great single item.

You won't be disappointed eating here. This will definitely be a new stopping/eating place that I'll be going to AND recommending to others.

We had the Paradilla’a for two with beef and it was excellent. They first serve charro beans and a baked potato. The charro beans are really good, cooked with bacon and ham. Then the beef, cheese, onions, jalapeños are served on a sizzling bowl with corn tortillas. Really excellent and worth the stop in Deming.

Wonderful food, wonderful staff. One of the best meals I've ever had. Get the burrito plate christmas style (and a side of the green chile sauce to have even more)!

Great local Mexican food restaurant. We had the Deluxe Mexican Plate which had a great variety of food to sample and the chicken flautas. Both were excellent.

We stopped here traveling through to Tucson on I-10. The green chile was AMAZING! The food was just so good! I had a smothered Chile Relleno and a Gordita, so darn yummy! Hubby had the burrito plate and he was thrilled. They were so busy but the server was gracious and friendly. We definitely will stop here every single time we travel through here. It’s a gem!

The service was great! We will be back if we drive through town again! The chips and salsa were delicious. The salsa was on the spicy side. I ordered the shredded beef burrito smothered in green chili, it had great flavor. It was also a good portion. The rice and beans were a great accompaniment. My husband ordered the Asada burrito he added guacamole and pico de gallo and he said it was really good.

The food was very good, the waitresses were flying around, but due to how busy it was, the service wasnt great. The place was packed and everyone seemed happy, but getting a waitress to stop or a refill or an additional order, was kinda rough. I had the #1 Deluxe Mexican Plate and everything was very good, very hot and delicious. Being new to the area, this place will be on my return again, soon and often list!!! OK, updated review. It is quite often busy here and for good reason! The food is spectacular, especially the green chili chicken enchiladas with an over medium egg on top and the absolute best Bud light Red Beer I've ever had. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Deming. I think I actually had withdrawals while they were closed for lockdown, fortunately they opened up for a few weeks , so i could get my fix a few times, before they closed temporarily again. You won't go wrong here, but be fore warned, the green sauce is quite spicy and makes me sweat everytime.

We were traveling from TX back to Phoenix area. I read good reviews online and we decided to give Irma’s a try. We walked in and the place was very crowded. The service was very quick, and the waitress gave some recommendations. The chips and salsa was very good and our food came out quick. I ordered the Hatch Chile rellenos with both green and red sauce. My husband ordered the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. The food was so delicious. We were so pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic place while traveling through. We will definitely be back!!

Recommended by the hotel. Would stop here on my next drive through. Prices and food was great

If you like fake atmosphere, then this place is not for you. Southern and eastern NM has some great restaurants because this region is where green chiles come from, and Irma's is a great example. All I had to do is tell the boss lady a little about what I liked and she was on my wavelength. She brought out samples of the red and green enchilada sauce and I knew I was safe in her hands. They made excellent Christmas (both) enchiladas for me. The taco was also great. Relleno---fantastic. When I said I liked a dry relleno, she knew exactly what I meant. Salsa was also very good. Even tap water in that town tastes good. Every single thing was better than good. Even the old building was the perfect setting. I'd go back tomorrow if I could. Oh, and very reasonable prices too.

We stopped here during a road trip and so glad we chose Irma’s. Yes there’s lots of choices but luckily we chose correctly. The salsa was great and the breakfast chorizo potato burrito smothered in green sauce for under $10 held us over for hours and hours.

So glad we stopped here! The food was great! The salsa and crispy chips were perfect crunch and spiciness! I got the combo because it all smelled good! Guacamole was yummy, chilies relleno and enchilada had lots of flavor. Carne was good too.

The food was beyond amazing. I love Mexican food. I eat it all over the country. This place is right at the top. If ever I am back in town I am definitely heading back for more!

Food was excellent. Sunday evening so very busy thus slow getting food but worth the wait.
