Piette’s Cafe and Bar

This place has been a wonderful addition to Stockton. The food is great. The prices are great. There is nothing on the menu that my wife and I have tried that has been bad....as a matter of fact it has all been great. The best French Dip sandwich I’ve ever had. Great steaks and pork chops. My wife loves the steak salad done rare and the burgers are incredible.
We are so glad that there is a small quaint place now to go in Stockton for Lunch and Dinner....keep up the great food and service!

Most amazing cuisine by a real chef. Decent prices. The owner knows his food. The food will knock your socks off! The pretzels with pub cheese, Philly's, everything we had was amazing. Will have to come down here just to eat from an hour and a half away. It is just that good. Atmosphere is really cool too. Service was top notch. I can't even think of anything that didn't far exceed my expectations. A must try for anyone that craves food that tastes amazing. The touches on the food shows a mastery of culinary skills.

You know when you hear that a restaurant or store is coming to town and you think we'll see? We were hoping, as residents of Stockton, that Piette's would deliver. Our choices here are slim because we are a small town. Don't get me wrong, we have restaurants that are worth the time but we were hoping for "that" place to go. We had dinner a couple nights ago and it was good enough to earn a trip back. Tonight we went for Happy Hour and it was fabulous! We had a pretzel & cheese appetizer and then the Tenderloin Medallions for $7.95 and it was the best Happy Hour dinner I've ever had. The pretzel was soft and chewy and the beer cheese dip was delicious. The Tenderloin Medallions were done to perfection. As good as I've ever had and believe me, I love steak. Jennifer and Mark have done a tremendous job with this restaurant. They opened in the midst of the Covid restrictions and actually had to close for a brief period due to an employee that tested positive. They stuck it out and man are we glad they did. The service was excellent and the food is outstanding. We'll be returning on a regular basis. My only issue is that too many people see this review and go there, our small town secret will be exposed and our seats at the bar might become hard to get. If you are ever in Stockton, Missouri and are wondering where to get a bite to eat for a good price, you won't be disappointed in Piette's. I guarantee it.

My wife and I just happened across this place. We were very pleased with our prime rib meal. Nice atmosphere, the waiter was a very nice young man. The desserts were great too. We live in Kimberling City but will make sure to stop in and enjoy another dinner soon. Highly recommend this place!

Stellar in Stockton! Our group had a wonderful evening. We were visited by the bartender, owner and chef. The service had that warm, small town feel, but the food delivered big city taste. If you are looking for a great evening with phenomenal service in a fun/make you feel like family environment, stop here! Thank you for making us feel like lifelong friends. We will be back. 🖤

The steak with whipped potatoes and asparagus topped with bacon and blue cheese crumbles was out of this world delicious. The staff seemed be genuinely be happy that we were there. The chef brought our food to the table and asked us to let him know if it was not to our taste.

Food and service were delicious!! They ask my husband to cut into his New York steak to make sure it was cooked the way he likes it, appreciate that extra step. Bartender came out to ask if martini was good. Very excited to have a restaurant in our small town worthy of date night!

We have visited twice and loved it! We enjoyed the beef medallions, sirloin steak, chicken fried chicken, and grown up mac-and-cheese! Great food and excellent service.
The fried pickle spears are too large, but the breading is good.

Oh. My. Goodness. This is truly a hidden gem in Missouri. It’s definitely the best food I’ve had in a long, long time. Everything is made from scratch and cooked perfectly. The fried pickles cannot be beat. The steak was cooked perfectly and the whipped potatoes are delicious!!

Absolutely the best meal I've had in ages. Ordered the double pork chop, rice and, broccoli. This was prepared with a light sauce over the chop that had flavor in every bite. I am clueless about a prior reviewer saying this establishment only served fried food, obviously they are confused with another restaurant. The server, a young boy had me in stitches, I don't think he realized how rude he was while taking our orders, but somehow he pulled it off! Several times he told me he was growing old while waiting for me to decide, lol. With that said, they have a gold mine as long as they retain their chef. Incredible culinary skills.

This adorable restaurant was out of this world amazing! My husband and we’re on the lake all day and stubbled upon this gem. The food, service and atmosphere is a 10 out of 10 star!! We’ll be coming back and telling everyone we know.
(Also if you haven’t tried the mash potatoes you are missing out. )

Absolutely the best service I've had in a long time. Super great employers. Awesome good. If you get to go by and get Jake for your waiter, he likes to be called hake!! He tried to explain to me that they don't pronounce the j in Mexico, so I called him hake the rest of the time. Try it, you don't be disappointed

If I could give 100 stars for this little slice of heaven restaurant, I would. Suffice it to say, it has exceeded every expectation we had for a go to, healthy , fresh food, inviting restaurant that this town needed. Open year round, every day but Tuesday, because let's face it, everyone needs a day off!
Now, about the food, atmosphere and service.
You walk in and immediately get acknowledged. You can sit in the bar area or the dining room. Both of which are warm and welcoming. There are tvs in the bar area, but it isn't obnoxious or loud. It's perfect for the size of the bar. Another perk is the kitchen window is viewable from the bar. That is a good thing. You will see and hear what a well oiled machine the kitchen is. The owners Mark and Jennifer are not just there, they are PRESENT. Be sure to make a point to tell them about your dining experience, because it isn't easy doing what they do. It's their life!
Now to the best part...the food,the glorious, delicious food. This isn't your typical fried bar food. Its fresh, healthy food. But it's not overpriced! What? Yes, it's TRUE! The Happy Hour options are phenomenal. I don't want to mention the bargains you will get by dining during Happy Hour because its like a hidden gem. Let me say that coming from Arizona and patronizing many restaurants, this one has the best damn Happy Hour deals of any we have ever been to, hands down. You can get a steak dinner for $8...not just any steak...a great steak, cooked perfect. No steak sauce required kind of steak.
We are going to be regulars here. We will be at the bar, a lot! Stop and say hi! 😊🥰

The food here is to die for I guarantee you will love it. The chef Mark has put together flavors I would have never dreamed of. Perfect beef, juicy chicken breast and light and flaky fish all with freshest fruits and vegetables. Yummy

The best meal we’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. We’re on our 12 year anniversary trip & this was delicious. Also enjoyed the football game with what we assume was the owners, it was a great time and we can’t wait to make the trip back!

This is by far our fav place to eat in Stockton. EVERYTHING I've ordered has been amazing. Some of my favs are the Fish Tacos, Salmon Salad, & homemade Mozz Sticks. The owners are soo nice and staff is amazing. Highly recommend 😁

OMG!!! How delightful and delicious!
I have eaten lunch there often, but today was my first evening experience.
I had the chicken piccata and my wife had the chicken marsala. EXQUISITELY DELICIOUS!!
Their bread is a made from scratch sourdough hardbread, and the best I have ever eaten.
At most restaurants, I can find my favorite that I settle into within 3-4 visits—but not this one. Every meal has been a unique experience.
How our small little town was blessed with a chef of his caliber is beyond me, but I am so grateful.
Prices are beyond reasonable for what you get.
Portions and flavors are the best.
Piette's Cafe and Bar is worth the trip even from out of town.

Amazing service and atmosphere, everything is absolutely delicious, and prepared exactly how you order it. The burgers are so juicy, I ate mine with a fork and knife! Such a welcome addition to our community!
