My husband & I stumbled across this hotel a few years ago and make it a point to go back! Nice rooms, bar in the basement with live music on the weekends! Great place to stay with a view of the river.

The wife and I went to a football game in Columbia and were wanting a night away from the kiddos. I found this hotel on google and thought it was just our style/speed.

We absolutely loved our stay. I love the blend of historic/old aesthetic and newer amenities (bathroom renovations, etc.). We stayed in room #12. Room #12 would be a great room if we bring the kiddos back some day (as it has an the extra bed).

Loved the lounge/bar on main floor, the restaurant, and the bar in the basement. We made us of all three during our stay. The night of our stay karaoke night was being hosted the the basement bar. It was a fun way to end the evening.

Really loved our stay. I imagine we will be returning someday. My camera does not do the hotel justice (phone camera lens is cracked). If you are used to $500/night stays at a Ritzy hotel, this might not be the place for you. However, if you like things that are more unique and have character I recommend giving this hotel a try. Really loved the small town experience.

The only hotel ill stay at. At the edge of the town and full of life. A bar upstairs and one open in the basement often. The staff is amazing. Our room had a pull out day bed and a bedroom. Perfect little place

Great historical building to be able to stay in. The staff is one of the most friendliest staffs I’ve ever experienced while staying in a hotel. Nora and John are the absolute best! We ate in the restaurant and the hamburgers are AMAZING. They have a bar in the basement called Brickroom with live bands and a fun atmosphere. Don’t be surprised if you even see the owner serving you some cocktails.

Unique historic hotel with lots of character and ambiance. Nice lounge with live music on Friday night. Friendly staff, great shower(!), fantastic continental breakfast. All within walking distance of the Missouri River and downtown Boonville.

What a great step back in time, but with all the modern conveniences. Quiet, comfy bed, good service. The bathroom was tiny, (just pretend you're in Europe). There is also a bar and restaurant which I didn't go to. Loved the ambiance. Light breakfast was offered but i would recommend skipping it unless you are in a hurry. Don't pass this place up and spend time in Boonville checking out the historic buildings!

I stayed for a single night mid-week while on a multi-day car trip. The Hotel Frederick is a nice change from the bland experience offered by chain hotels. It's an older building, built in a grand style, and you'll be greeted with an opulent lobby, all dark woodwork and stone.

My room was on the third floor, accessible via a staircase or the elevator. My room was pleasantly quirky. The windows open, so I was able to enjoy the early summer air and turn off the a/c for the night. The bathroom was equipped with a rain-style shower head and was very comfortable for a tall person like me. The bed was comfortable, if a little low to the ground.

The staff members I talked to were friendly and gracious. The person behind the desk the morning I checked out went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. I enjoyed the complementary continental breakfast while seated in the old leather chairs out in the lobby.

Boonville is a charming, visually appealing town. If you're coming from the interstate, you'll get a chance to see it in detail, as the speed limits are very low (20 mph on Main Street). One of the advantages of a downtown hotel is usually a nice collection of restaurants to choose from. During my mid-week stay, nearly all of the downtown eateries were closed, including those in the hotel itself.

Really neat historic hotel! Feels like going back in time. Room was modern and clean. Bar and restaurant were not open on Tuesday. Sorry we missed trying them. Great place for bike travelers, with a bike storage room. Recommend!

We actually didn't stay here, as we didn't know about it before we came out to Boonville, but we saw it while driving around exploring the quaint little town. However, once we went inside, we loved it! Elegant Victorian themed hotel with gorgeous architecture, amenities, and style. Very friendly staff and informative regarding the hotel's rich history. We would have loved to have spent our weekend here and will do so in the future!

This is a fantastic boutique hotel. A lot of thought has been put into all the touches. It has a wonderful atmosphere and has personality in the building as well at the individual guest rooms. If you are looking for a unique hotel that isn’t a cookie cutter hotel chain, this place will be right up your alley. The owners and staff are clearly invested in your experience. My kids all loved it too. We will certainly be back.

Absolutely an excellent boutique hotel with everything you need on site. Top Chef restaurant, lobby bar and entertainment on the lower level. Great coffee too. The historic hotel is beautifully restored and is an American treasure. Thank you for caring for this gem! If you are going to Columbia go a few extra miles and stay here. We will be back for sure!

Amazing hotel with a bar/restaurant on site. Both were equally amazing. The staff gave us great local recommendations for things to do. The room was great. We got the romance package which was an awesome touch. The food and drinks at the restaurant were great as well. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

We stopped here when the weather got bad while we were traveling on 70. We were so pleased with what we found! They accommodated us within 15 minutes of calling and Amber at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming! They also allowed pets so we were able to stop with our lab! The entire building was so cool. We’re grateful the weather stopped us and look forward to weekend trips to Hotel Frederick in the future!

This hotel was perfect!! We checked out of a unnamed filthy hotel and this gem found us rooms and it was so pleasant! The front desk employees were always so kind and welcoming. The rooms are so unique and clean. And the food at the Fred is delicious. We were on a work trip and the hotel was quiet. I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again if I am ever in Boonville again.
