Country Colonial B & B

Just had our 4th stay in 6years the home still has the civil war charmed decor. The prime rib dinner we planned and morning brunch was cooked beautifully. The best part I like here is that each room is different with locks on doors and individual bathrooms. The evening horse drawn carriage ride is an added benefit. While the hotel and other b and b are permenantly closed we we're glad to see the Country Colonial is making it last.

We loved the place,friendly people and great shopping. We were greeted by a friendly man at the door (even though we were late) stepping into the home was like stepping back in time. Loved it. We had our own bathroom and a nice firm bed(just like home).Our morning breakfast was more than we could eat. Then hit the town loved the shops and the friendly people. We will be returning soon.

The house has a nice antique charm to it and the owners are very friendly. They accommodated for our group of 9; when half of us weren't able to make it to the evening carriage tour they offered to change it to a morning tour and had a delicious breakfast ready for us when we returned. It was a nice experience in a small town.

The six of us Questers made a womans weekend in Amish country far away from the anow and crowed grocery stores.
Pleasantly surprised we met Kathy in the owners absence as he was in KC hospital as result of a stroke. We had a Friday night tour of the English French staged home with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The night was complete with dinner at the Country Cupboard and our slumber to the sound of horse drawn carriages in the square.
Morning woke with the aroma of coffee, eggs, baccon and cinnamon rolls with a table set for a queen. Our day spent strolling the square and the quaint shops, antique and candle stores was absolutely a treat much needed.
The only thing missing was a local fudge or candy ahoppe.
We will definitely refer and return.

Country Colonial Bed and Breakfast in Jamesport is one of the area's last operating bed and breakfasts. The owners offer individual bedrooms with locking doors and individual bathrooms all decorated in a civil war theme. The Country Kitchen offers an excellent spot for dining up to 10 people for their brunch or for a special brisket dinner for Valentine's. There is small additional cost for the Clydesdale horse drawn carriage ride. at dusk. my personal bedroom favorite was The Veranda room with a balcony that overlooks Main Street just past the Methodist Church and the countryside. This bed and breakfasts is close to a walks distance to all the antique shops and craft stores of Jamesport. Definitely worth your stay.

Quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sunset carriage ride is a must-see.

This establishment is no longer a bed & breakfast.

The house was old and charming but wasn't clean. The bed sqeaked every time we moved. We were told breakfast would be at 9 am but no breakfast was made. Website stated carriage rides but none available. Very disappointed and will not return.

What happened to this place? It's abandoned, however the website is still active. There is no information if the property is for sale.
