I coordinate rallies of 20-100 RVs/40-225 people. I have dealt with many RV park owners and staff members. The owners of Big Creek - Laura and Dave -- have been some of the most amazing to work with! Excellent customer service, very willing to go above and beyond to make your gathering pleasant. The campground is well-maintained and in a beautiful, peaceful location. The creek behind it and the hillsides surrounding it are lovely. Great for families with farm animals to pet and lots of room to play outdoors. Don't fret about it being near train tracks - only one train we heard go by and it wasn't something that would wake you up if you were sleeping. The only issue is that the drive in with an RV will keep you alert. Some rolling hills, tight curves, and no shoulders. Take it slow and don't do it in slippery weather and you will be fine. It is a lovely drive. Lots of fun stuff to do within an hour or so - Caledonia, Johnson Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Missouri Mines Park, etc. Don't miss this park. Can't wait to go back!

Dave and Laura are excellent owners and went the extra mile to make our stay the best. The sites were full hook ups and well cared for. Our back in site was more than long enough for our 40’ Super C and Jeep. We were part of a rally and fortunately had access to a nice patio to host our events. Ask Dave or Laura about getting firewood. You won’t find a better deal.

This is a very nice, clean place to stay. They have great amenities, creek access, a pool if you would rather use it, bathrooms with showers, laundry, coffee shop etc. The owners are very kind and helpful. Absolutely would come again, especially with so much to see and do in the area.

We chose Big Creek RV for our first rv trip. Owners could not have been more welcoming. They provided great info on the area and most importantly kept an immaculate rv park. Restroom facilities always clean and stocked. Plenty of recreation on site, but the creek stole the show! Just gorgeous. Park is within 20-30 minutes of Elephant Rock and Johnson’s Shut-in State Parks. Will definitely be back.

Great place to camp for BIG RV’s and small campers. Great activities for families/kids, and big areas for kids to run and play. For people looking for a quiet area, grab a lawn-chair and sit in the creek, and just listen to the waterfalls. Beautiful views and great nature to take in. The owners are very dear people, and have great rules for everyone’s safety. I truly enjoyed the lambs, goats and chickens. It’s a great place to get away too, but not too far away.

A really nice place to stay! I was looking for a place to spend the weekend exploring Mark Twain National Forest, and this was the perfect spot. The owners do a great job of running the place, were more than helpful in getting us setup, where to go, what to see. The campground has a lot of activities for families - really enjoyed the laughter of kids playing outside, chasing the farm animals, riding bikes...highly recommend this place. The WiFi is a little limited, but we only needed it to map out our day trips.

We came to Big Creek RV Park for a little weekend get away. There is so much there to offer the family to do. There is a beautiful creek you can walk down. Nice pool, play gym, chickens, and many other little animals. The family who runs the park are very kind and are there to make your experience better. The camp sites are nice sizes as well. Highly recommend for any one to come here

We have stayed twice at Big Creek RV Park and highly recommend it! The sites are spacious and the facilities are wonderful! Great family atmosphere and fun activities to do, both in the campground and within 45 minute drive or less. We will definitely be booking a third stay!

Big creek is a perfect getaway. It’s extremely quiet which was great for us and our two little ones. The creek access was very nice and the creek itself is super pretty. The campgrounds are clean and the sites were a good size. This is a great spot to just relax and hang out. The owners were so sweet too! We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked another weekend on the way home!

My husband and I became annuals about a month ago, and we are loving it so far! We live in St Louis City and this is the perfect getaway to just relax, unwind and spend time together. The facilities are top notch! Very clean bathrooms with private showers (very hard to come by at most campgrounds!), laundry room, and an in ground pool which we have yet to use but always looks clean and well maintained. Big Creek borders the camp and is great with both shallow and deeper spots depending on what you prefer. The owners are very friendly and offer plenty of activities for families like hayrides, duck races, a catch and release fishing pond, volleyball court, playground and even church on Sundays for those interested. We are usually here to escape crowds and people in general, and very much enjoy how peaceful and quiet the camp is at night. It is about a 10 minute drive to Annapolis where there is a Dollar General and an awesome produce stand during the summer months or about a 20 minute drive to Ironton which has multiple grocery stores and several restaurants. If you’re looking to float the river it’s about a 20 minute drive to Lesterville as well. Amazing location. I highly recommend this campground and am so glad that the Google gods brought me to it!

We stayed for 6 days and had a fantastic time. The facilities are very clean, the pool is blue and clear and the walking trails are serene. This campground is really well cared for! The parking pads are very level, the grounds are well maintained and the service is amazing. We will be visiting again for sure!

We have been coming here from the St Louis area for several years. Our 42ft 5th wheel will be here for the next 2 months and we will come and go. The owners are outstanding and RV savvy, facilities are clean, great deal on firewood, our dog loves it, and Big Creek borders the grounds on the east. Highly recommended!

Stayed here 4 nights. Found the hosts to be wonderful. The facility is great and the size of the spots were also great. This was my 1st stay at this park and I will definitely return.
The area was fun to explore with state parks close by and a couple of small towns to check out.
The sites at the campground were large and level. It is small gravel that is well packed. The creek is wonderful and nice and cool on a hot day. The granddaughter and dog had a blast just playing in the creek.

Check in was easy. Staff very friendly and professional. Clean park. Spaces are nice and big. All facilities were very clean and in good working order. A lot to do in the park and the surrounding areas. Definitely will stay here when passing through South East Missouri.

Spent the weekend here and enjoyed it immensely!
Very well maintained sites, full hookups. Sites are gravel and slightly uneven but workable.
Patty is amazing!!
Close to all our favorite hiking trials, quiet and sites close enough to be social if you want, but big enough that you don't feel crowded in.
Is it more than a state park or other campground? Yes. However, the quality of the facility and the caliber of people is higher. Definitely worth the extra money. We will definitely be back!!

We just stayed at this campground for 4 days and the owners definitely know what they are doing! This is one of the cleanest and most organized small campground we have visited. The attention to detail from the spotless restrooms, printed out travel directions to all the local sites, pool and patio and the clean and well maintained sites. We will be back! Thanks for such an enjoyable long weekend!
