A beautiful National Cemetery honoring our Veterans. This year we participated in the Wreaths Across America. The event went on rain or shine and everyone was able to honor our veterans for the holidays. It was a beautiful, rainy and cold day but so many wonderful people came together to "remember." I look forward to participating next year. Thank you! 🇺🇸

Florida National Cemetery is operated & meticulously maintained to very high standards. All ceremonies are consistently performed with the respect each has earned. The care taken here Honors all who find eternal rest in these grounds and columbariums.

I have visited a number of National Cemeteries and I am always impressed by the cleanliness and organization, which demonstrates a true respect for the veterans who are laid to rest in them. Whether it is the Arlington National Cemetery or the Long Island National Cemetery or the Beaufort National Cemetery, the grounds are impeccable and the site is peaceful.

At first, I wandered and read through headstones. I always look for one who shares my own birthday as a way to connect with those laid to rest here. After I did not find one, I switched and headed to find one specific person.

David Moniac fought in the US Army during the Second Seminole War. He was the first Native American graduate of West Point (in 1822) and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the 6th Infantry Regiment. After resigning his commission and then returning to the army as a Captain in 1836 (the only Native American commissioned officer), he was promoted to Major but fell in battle against the Seminoles in 1836. The inscription on the stone, "He was as brave and gallant a man as ever drew a sword or faced an enemy." Maj. Gen. T.S. Jessup. Thank you for your service.

Lovely cemetery, very well maintained and manicured. Nice peaceful place to spend time with your loved one(s) that served. It can be a real eye opener when you go there. The plots fill up with headstones so fast, it's saddening really. Still, it's nice to visit and pay our respects. Depending on when you visit, it can get pretty hot. Another thing, do not park on the grass when visiting. There are signs everywhere that tell you to park on the road. If you get the chance, tell the caretakers "thank you," they do an awesome job.

A beautiful and well kept place. We went to visit my father-in-law for the first time. The website mentioned limited flower vases were available. I wasn't sure where to find them, but they were at the entrance to each section. We visited on Easter and it was actually rather busy, and we had no problem getting a vase.

An enormous resting place for thousands who fought for our freedom and their spouses. Beautifully kept and very peaceful place a mile of exit 309 on I-75. We went on a Saturday morning, since it is open for visitation everyday sunrise to sunset. The info about cemetery being closed on weekends is incorrect. Only the offices are closed on weekends

Websters definition of Thank You is "a polite expression of one's gratitude," and the Candelario family can't really express how thankful we are for the Patriot Guard Riders' who escorted our Korean War Veteran from the Land o Lakes Loyless Funeral Home to the Florida National Cemetery and provided an honor cordon, and spoke to honor a Korean War Veteran who loved his country, we loved that great honor the Riders provided. The Base Color Guard also did a superb job in folding the flag and the presentation was immaculate, thank you. I was part of the Color Guard as a young Sailor and had the honor to present a flag on behalf of our country but never on the other side so thank you color guard. The family was very impressed at the cemetery facilities and great professionalism from the moment we entered the sacred grounds.

We went here to visit my grandparents site and this is a very well kept place. The workers here have a ton of respect for our servicemen and women and do their best to honor them. I wanted to see if the wreaths i bought from the Wreaths across america charity were there and they were! Always wondered. There were a few ceremonies going on so we did our best to avoid them.

Mom's been working here for a long time. I grew up appreciating the beauty of this place. It has great trails and lots of land. It's a great place where we can honor our veterans. Sometimes we will just drive through the see if we can find any deer and just appreciate the scenery.

Overwhelming the number of volunteers putting wreaths on the graves with Wreaths across America. Beautiful. I was able to put one at my dad's plot.

I have never seen such care & respect given to the veterans and their families. Words could not express how they made us feel. They went out of their way to make us feel that our loved one would be well taken care off. I am so glad I choose this cemetery for my husband.

Military members and spouses in our family have been well received and cared for for several years. Most recently on 5/11/21, my dear Mother was received in her final resting place.
