The Apple Basket Cafe

We haven’t been to this café before, so we decided to give it a try for lunch. One of our best decisions for that day!

The service was outstanding. The food arrived quick, and was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp wrap, and my partner went with the daily special. We were both really impressed, not only with the taste, but with the quantity, as well.

The menu had a nice variety, which was unexpected. We noticed several items that we will definitely try on our next visit. Highly recommended.

A shout out to the nice server who introduced me to the house made sweet chili sauce. It was amazing! She had given me a free sample and even included several fries to go with it. An absolute delightful member of staff.

Establishment was clean and very spacious. Restrooms were clean and very roomy. Parking is on street. Keep this in mind, if visiting during busy hours as parking might be further away.

Love trying local restaurants and had to give this place a try. So glad I stopped by because it was just amazing! Great list of options and the service was perfection. Started with onion rings and they were worth every penny! Followed those up with a double cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. Meat was great and had a perfect char on them. The fries where just as amazing as the onion rings with a perfect crunch. With all that I had to try a piece of pie. The banana cream was calling my name and I am so happy I listened. I can't think of anything that was not perfect with the food. The place filled up quickly and I see why. A must stop location if you are in the area.

Friend of ours told us we needed to stop by and try the onion rings. We stopped in and the people were absolutely wonderful. Cheryl was our waitress and she was amazing. The onion rings were delicious. I would definitely stop by and try more on the menu. Everything they brought out to others looked delicious.

Great food and the service was very good as well. It can get pretty busy at lunch but the staff works hard to keep up. Their chicken fried steak is cooked to perfection. This was our first time here and it was a great stop to make while passing through town.

This is a little gem. Food was great and plentiful. We had grilled pork chop- delicious. French fries crisp with a yummy coating. Staff is very friendly and service is quick. Thanks!!

The server said they have great onion rings and I thought "ok so you want to sell more onion rings for some reason" - well, guess what, she wasn't kidding. In fact, those were possibly the best onion rings I have ever had. And I wasn't born yesterday. The country fried steak was outstanding, the friend okra was very good, everything was good. I will definitely eat here again the next time I pass through. And you should too.

Usually get the fish and chips it’s excellent and the fried chicken is the best on Wednesday. The dessert is AMAZING don’t forget to take some with ya! Cheryl was my waitress and did incredible. Bert is awesome as well!!

Always great food and awesome service. I've never been disappointed eating here. Small town cafes are always the best to eat at.

I was passing through Macon and decided to stop here after seeing all the positive reviews. I was not disappointed!! The food was incredible and my server (Kyra) was great! I hope I am able to come back sometime in the future!

This place was the nearest to our truck drop and we got to enjoy some really good food here! Not to mention the ladies were very sweet and service was really quick. My husband got a massive BLT, and I got a fresh cup of beef veggie stew with a strawberry short cake. It was all very very very delicious and we will be back next time we drive on through. Everyone in this town is so sweet and made our experience a memorable one!

Passing through from Florida on a hunting trip and was looking for a local joint. Found the Apple Basket and Kyra was my waitress. Enjoyed the best meal and service one could ask for. Give it a try you will not be disappointed! Thanks Kyra!

Food is always great. Peggy is always such a sweet, friendly lady! She is always moving and hustling around, yet still has a smile.She just makes our visit complete!

Great experience!! The hostess was so helpful and considerate of our two young kids. Last time we came the service was terrible and the food was burnt, but it is definitely back to the same place we loved before. Anything with mashed potatoes and gravy is amazing, but the cube steak (see pic) is the best! And be sure to try the chocolate pie.

The food is great! A very nice lady named Penny made my food very well. The Cajun sandwich was very good. Always recommend!

Wonderful family restaurant with great food and generous portions at a very reasonable price. It has to be good since the local Lions Club meets there.
