If I could rate it higher I would. The food was amazing. The mac and cheese was the best Mac and cheese I ever had. The brisket 😋 I'm still drooling over how delicious it was.
The staff top-notch professional and made me feel welcome. I had to order some for my family who weren't able to join today. I guarantee they all will be in agreement with how delicious the food is. 🧇🐄🧇

This place is a great gem. My family and i discovered this place on our way home from cape may nj. Their Mac n Cheese is worth it alone. I had their Funk’n Chicken:

So yummy! Probably the crispiest waffle 🧇 iv ever had. The owner was also very nice! The cook was fast and efficient.

Super cute cafe with some of the best waffles you will ever have. I don't know how they were the perfect amount of crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.

We tried a little sweet and a little savory with the brisket waffle sandwich and the s'mores waffle. Both were AMAZING! Definitely recommend both and would 100% come back if in the area.

Staff was very informative, kind and really seemed to enjoy what they do.

My husband and I were on a little road trip for my birthday and decided to Google local eateries in the Hammonton area. We came across the Funky Cow Cafe that had great reviews and they definitely lived up the hype. Absolutely loved their unique use of waffles for their sandwiches. We ordered the Cuban and BBQ Pork. Both were so good and the waffles stayed nice and crisp and added the perfect crunch. The Cafe is really cute and the staff is so friendly and helpful with recommendations for a delicious sandwich. We also got to meet the owner who made us feel so welcomed and special. He even surprised us with one of their delicious waffles and ice cream desserts which included a birthday candle on top. I am so happy we stopped in today and look forward to going back again !

This was my first visit to Funky Cow Cafe, I was excited to try their waffle sandwiches! I got the BBQ Pulled Pork & my sister got the “warm & cozy” which was pulled pork, sliced apple & Brie cheese. We also got chicken orzo soup & mac & cheese. Everything we ate was beyond delicious! The food is made with love for sure! We hated getting full!
The owner, Ricky came outdoors where we were eating to introduce himself, welcome us & make sure everything tasted good, which I thought was super nice. We cannot wait to go back! This is a MUST GO!

The funky cows were what drew us in, Ricky was the reason we stayed, and the food is why we’ll be back. We took an aimless Saturday drive and stumbled upon the town of Hammonton, NJ, and saw the Funky Cow Cafe right away. Ricky, the owner, is such a love! He sold us on the Veggie Lovers savory waffle sandwich and we were not sorry. It was so delicious, we’re not sure we can ever go back to boring ‘ole ordinary sandwiches. We also ordered the mac & cheese which was divine. The restaurant is fun and yes, funky, with window bar seating and several larger tables for dining in. There’s cow seats outside (pictured) along the Main Street of this quaint little NJ town. This is a great stop off point along the road to the Jersey shore or Atlantic City. Note: they are only open Wednesday through Sunday so plan accordingly.

My sister came out for a visit this month. She wanted to spend some time with me for the day, so we checked out some cafés.

The Funky Cow caught our eye and had a menu that really intrigued our tastebuds. All their sandwiches are made with waffles! Neither one of us are big lunch eaters, so we decided to split a sandwich. We ordered the “Funkin’ Chicken” - Grilled Chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese, sriracha sauce and a side of homemade spicy slaw (their secret recipe - which is AMAZING!). Again, the bread was a waffle. It was so light and so perfect with the layers of flavors it encapsulated. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. They brought out our sandwiches and had cut them in half serving them in individual baskets as if we ordered two separate sandwiches. That kind of attention to detail did not go unnoticed by either of us. And I believe it was the owner that came out and checked on us before we left.

The atmosphere is fun! Perfect for a place to bring the kids, but not too young for adults to enjoy as well. A good portion of the wall is a chalkboard. Little tins filled with chalk seem to invite anyone to write a message on the wall. I hope so because we did!

This was truly a unique café experience. I encourage you to try if you are in the Hammonton area. I will be going back soon and often. Anyone want to shop for homes in Hammonton? Let’s stop by the Funky Cow while we are there. #trustkj

I normally never give 5 stars, bc there's always room for improvement...everywhere. But this spot hit all levels of approval! Owner Ricky was professional and so enthusiastic about hometown, the people, and his store. The food was "utterly" amazing. The Lettuce wraps, the Cuban, and the homemade delicious Orzo soup were the best I've ever had. Bravo, well done! A+ recommendation.

Nice place with unique style of food - everything is on waffles. Food is fresh and delicious. They have a good vegeterian and vigen selection. Decorations are done with cow style. I will definitely go back.

I am a home care nurse, so I stop into little sandwich places all the time. The Bangin’ Brisket sandwich was amazing. The waffle bread is genius and unique! This will travel well and not get soggy. This was one of the best one’s, yet. Owner was so welcoming. Place is immaculate. I will be back!

The sweetest team who truly cares about your experience and if you’re happy with your food! So delish, so crispy and yummy. The owner walked me through the goal of the cafe and how things are made / what I will or won’t like. The coffee was 10/10 also!

Met up with a friend I haven’t seen in a while to catch up over some good food and found a perfect midway meetup place! Food was out quick and SO good! Sat around talking for a bit after and the owner Ricky came out and introduced himself and grabbed us some free samples of ice cream for our waffle to welcome us!! Great service all around and will definitely be back :)

The sandwiches are rediculously delicious. The owner is super cool. When I have people visiting from out of town, I always take them to Funky Cow.

Just came in and split the Cuban and bangin brisket at the Rochester location. Amazing. So unique and full of flavor! One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Will be back to try the rest of the menu.

In a small town near your typical lunch spots and pizzerias, Funky Cow Cafe can be found at the corner on a busy street across from a Wells Fargo. You will find outside are two unique cows and a few tables for outdoor seating. You walk in and to the left, I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful waitress at the counter. She explained the menu and process very well and was easy to understand. The thought of light airy waffle sandwiches makes my mouth water. Funky Chicken Sandwich was even more enjoyable than I could've imagined. I was expecting fluffy waffles but their waffles were thin and crispy. This provided an excellent texture and crunch that contrasted the chicken sandwich perfectly. The sriacha sauce was light, heat was just right, and packed with flavor. I would've tried their ice creams if I hadn't been so full. If you're looking for a fun and novel restaurant in the area that's doing something different and serving amazing food, you've got to try this place. I will be back for food and ice cream next time.

My 3 friends and I were visiting from NY. We were hungry so we went on Google to search for a high rated restaurant. We came upon this restaurant and noticed that it had a 5 start review. We were introduced by Alex in a very welcoming manner. She noticed we were having difficulty picking one of the sandwich orders, so she offered to split each of the four sandwiches in fours so we can all try one. All four of the sandwiches were all delicious but my personal favorite was the Brisket sandwich. My friends wanted to try the S’mores explosion but we wanted to try a different ice cream flavor. Alex offered to put two ice cream flavors in our dessert instead of one. I was still hungry so I ordered another meal and I got the Trash Bowl. It sounded a little weird at first because it has mac n cheese with rice and beans, but it definitely didn’t disappoint.
Overall, the food and Alex’s hospitality made this a 5 star visit.
