Stone Harbor Nails and Spa

I was traveling and needed to get a gel manicure while I was charging my EV. They got me right in and it is the best gel manicure I have ever had. If I lived closer this would be my go to nail salon!

Great pedicure -- I always make a point to come here when in Stone Harbor. Friendly, skilled, and they put a lot more time into extras like hot stones and leg and foot massage than the places I use at home, for just $10 extra. Clean and professional.

The ladies at this salon work so hard, their salon is clean and offer so many nice colors! 5 stars no doubt :)

Very good mani/pedi. They honor the appts that are made. Other places do not.

I went for acrylics and was charged 67$ and spent an hour and a half for a lackluster experience. she spent maybe 45 minutes filing my nails just to have the sides and bottom be completely lumpy and uneven. if you were to look at my nails for more then 2 seconds you might barf. she had little to no attention to detail. this was because she was on facetime. one ear had an airpod playing music and the other had a bluetooth earpiece. the place was not running very smoothly and she kept having to stop doing my nails to take a call or write in an appointment. i felt unappreciated as a customer. the ambiance was not relaxing.

5 months later:

it’s been ages since this traumatic day and i am still heartbroken and disconcerted. i feel forgotten about and severely offended. i don’t deserve this treatment and you don’t deserve a smidge of my time. writing this right now, i am heavy breathing. this is because i appalled by the conspicuous and borderline bewildering behavior i felt. this is out of line.

one. year. later

this has been the most tough and mentally distressing year yet. i can easily draw this stress back to one place and one place only, Stone Harbor Nails and Spa. i had to frequently visit a ptsd therapist as the sight of any nails will give me anxiety attacks. the memories and night horrors that this experience gave me will last a lifetime. i am scared to say that i will carry this trauma with me forever, no matter how hard i try to forget.

We walked in on a wednesday to make an appt for saturday. Come saturday, we came in and they said our name was not on the list. We saw them write it down when we came in on weds. Take a picture of your reserved time on their sheet i guess...
