I’ve never had a more embarrassing experience at the bank than I had with Melissa the head teller today. I called this morning & when I spoke to someone what would be appropriate for forms of ID if a debit card would be okay, the lady over the phone told me to wait one moment then came back saying “yes, a credit card/debit card, something with your name on it would be great”

Cut to getting to the bank, I am autistic so new environments can be challenging & hard. We came up to the front and was originally met with a smile but then were given a snarky attitude once I told her I wasn’t sure who I spoke to this morning over the phone but told her I could show her the logs. She proceeded to pull out the list & spoke in a tone that definitely was less professional and more demeaning. Maybe she’s having a rough day, I’m sure she might be with the weird attitude I was given but when she spoke to me it made me want to crawl into a hole & just leave. I’ve never had a worse bank interaction. I even wanted to get an account with the bank but that interaction made me feel that bad that I would rather wait longer for my check then opening an account there.

BEWARE ! RACIAL PROFILING IS ALIVE AND WELL AT MARMORA BRANCH! had an extremely DISAPPOINTING experience on Friday 9.8.23 ...took three separate tellers to cash my husband's bi weekly check from his job (sturdy is employers bank)
TWENTY Five plus minutes later and strange looks and conversations being had by bank employees..concerning legitimacy of my husband's check. It was NOT thousands of dollars .. They went as far as contacting his employer prior to cashing his check to verify his employment ..tell me how many people of their ethnicity have experienced that ?? I'll bet NONE...soooo discouraging..and humiliating for my husband. Nothing sturdy about their customer service..

Sturdy Savings Bank in Cape May Court House, NJ and Rio Grande, NJ is the most unprofessional bank I've ever dealt with. A payment got lost in the mail, I made multiple phone calls in attempts to straighten it out and although I was
upset about the situation not at anyone directly I expressed my upset by saying your telling me you didn't receive my payment or an email sent by the bank where the payment was coming from and this horrid woman accused me of using the F word and then hung up on me, this type of person should not be dealing with the public. I dont even say words like D_ _
let alone what she accused me of.
I would never recommend this bank to anyone, the manager wasn't much more helpful either.
I struggle with my health and the stress these terrible people added to everything didn't help .
I hope if anyone plans to use them in anyway you think it over well and get other opinions because I've only been with them for 2 months I can only imagine what a long term relationship would be like. I will be cutting all ties with this place!

I notice that my original review has disappeared so I will repeat my dissatisfaction with the rude treatment and unprofessional attitude at this bank. I wanted to cash in paper savings bonds. They said they "can't" cash them. When I asked how do I cash them, I received shrugs in response. I had to get help from another bank in the area. Sorry Sturdy, that's poor service .
