Crab & Seafood Shack

I read the reviews before coming here. After you get past the fact that you must use plasticware to eat your $30 meal, you will find that it is worth it. The food is awesome and the little dining room is fun!

The shack fries are 'dont say it on an airplane' 💣💣💣. The rolls are good. Flounder is very good. Broiled seafood combo is good. Fried shrimp and crab cake is good. Fried fresh seafood combo was good. Fish and scallops is good. Shrimp and scallops fried combo is good. All the food listed is AMAZING!!! The sauce flows freely and is an excellent addition to anything you order. The Hanks hot sauce is worth the $5. THE SERVICE IS AWESOME AJD THEN SOME!!!

No doubt about it. I’ve been to all the high. End restaurants and this joint’s food is cooked to perfection.. This is a throw back to old time america mom & pop style restaurant all fresh and cooked while you wait. No frozen stuff here. AMAZING FOOD AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE as well..

Loved finding this place. Our family has been coming here for over 40 years and we've never been here. We will 100% be back next year. The clam chowder was so good. The steamed muscles were delicious. I love the small table vibes. It's cozy and homey. Not great for crowds bigger than 8.

This is what I'd consider a "hidden gem" in Wildwood. Seven of us (four adults and three teenagers) made reservations to have dinner here. The service was amazing. Our waitress was so friendly, kind, sweet, and fun. A man whose name I believe was Job came over and showed my daughter how to get all of the meat out of the crabs she ordered. The food was outstanding! Hands down the best crab cakes I've ever had in my life. We will not only be returning in the future, but I'll be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know who visits Wildwood. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

First time ordering here. Wonderful customer service. Joe is a delight. The crabs are deliciously fresh, well seasoned, and just plain good!

We decided to check this place out based on the reviews. We were told to get there early to get seats since the place is small. Sure enough, we got there half hour after opening and it was packed before we knew it. We were able to pick our own seats. The staff was friendly. The food took a bit to cook but wow it was worth the wait. It really is the freshest seafood we have ever eaten. They serve you on take out aluminum trays and plastic plates and utensils but that didn't bother us one bit. I thought it made it more "homey". The manager walks around to every table to make sure u are enjoying your meal. The sauce of the steamed Mussels was excellent for dipping your bread in. Definitely will return but maybe may opt for take out instead.

Went for fried sea scallops, something in short supply in VT. Hands down the absolute best scallops we've ever had. I can't see what others could complain about. Great service, great food. Yeah, they don't have fancy dinnerware, but I'll take quality food with quantity, even if it comes with plastic forks. Wish this place wasn't 6 hours away.

Our meal was FANTASTIC!! We drove from Woodbine just to pick up our meal...well worth the trip!!

The best seafood that I have had in years . I practically drove by this place all season b/c of the crowd outside . So grateful to meet Joe Bada and staff . Now I have my forever go to seafood spot.

Great atmosphere and food! The blue crabs were delicious as was the broiled seafood. It's a family run restaurant and it really shows in the excellent service that's provided. I would absolutely recommend anyone in the mood for seafood to stop by!

Mom and pop fresh seafood place had me sucking strange from blue claw crabs in moments after the order. Not a big place, but thats what keeps it authentic. Along with a chipper while busy as the place could be staff.

Joe was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic and he was obviously passionate about fantastic seafood dishes. The shack is very simple, but the shrimp po boy was delicious. Highly recommend for a seafood meal off the boardwalk.

Outstanding mom and pop seafood resistant. Friendly and family like atmosphere. Was so worth the 8 blocks we walked to get there. Will definitely return to eat again next time we’re in the area.

I decided to give this place a shot because I was really in the mood for crabs and it seemed that the atmosphere would be perfect for me. Sure enough I walked in sat down, the Phillies game was on I ordered a half a dozen jumbo crabs and every one of them was heavy and sweet. Everyone was friendly It wasn't all around great experience

Great little seafood shack. Prices are a bit high...but quality is there. I had crab cakes (all crab) while my wife had a lobster roll (cold-mayo based). Thumbs up to both! Will definitely visit again on our annual trip to Wildwood Crest.

I’m literally at the table now, just finished eating my delicious boiled seafood platter meal. Highly impressed. Seafood is fresh, good quality, delicious. Even the bread they serve is delicious, all reasonably priced. The staff and owner is personable and made the experience even better.

Best seafood platers for the price! It was so nice to talk to the family today! Kindest people I’ve encountered this week. Absolutely loved everything ❤
