There is so much I can say about this place. The service is wonderful and some of the most friendly individuals you will meet at a Wildwood eatery!!!! I go here ever summer when I visit my auntie!!! Todays visit was no difference!!! The food eaten there or taken home is always as fresh as you’re gonna get!!! Top Tier freshness and very tasty!!! 😋 today was swordfish and scallops! Of course we also got the classic fried shrimp, coleslaw and corn!!! Brought it back to my aunts place too and none of us were disappointed!!! Love it here!

Fresh crabs, stop searching!

Called and they were out but said call back at X time.. I did.. Crabs just came in... Fresh..

Ordered 18 crabs and they were amazing!

Couple notes -
1 - if you are visiting from our if town they down sell the crackers to break down the legs. Only the mallet.
2 - they don't clean unless you ask. But they were amazing and easy to clean.
3 - thanks to my friend Mike R. Who referred me to this place! Great choice and decent pricing.

Enjoy!

As quintessential a seafood shack as you can get. Whatever they catch goes on the menu: yellowfin, mahi mahi, swordfish. You can’t get seafood any fresher. If the prized John Dory finds its way on the menu, stop what you’re doing and get there as fast as you can.

Easily the best place in Wildwood for off-the-boat fresh seafood. The u-peel shrimp and clams in butter/lemon/garlic are unbelievable. Some other places have broths that taste like a whole lot of nothing, and Hooked Up is definitely not one of those places. Will definitely be back to try their chowder fries and have another round of clams ASAP!

Quickly fresh-made delicious food served with a smile. I should give it 4½ stars really because they charge an extra dollar or two everywhere they can. But the TASTE IS TREMENDOUS !!

It's located at 1044 W Rio Grande Ave, that means it's between the NJ Parkway and the bridge into Wildwood.

DELICIOUS FOOD !!! "Hooked Up" has a display area, a specials board, an order window, and a pier side picnic area. See photos below. We ordered the fried crab cakes platter, a dozen steamed blue claw crabs, and the blackened swordfish steak sandwich. That swordfish sandwich was OUT OF THIS WORLD !!!

Hooked Up Seafood is a tourist place for sure, but it is worth every penny. I highly recommend you go there and try anything on the menu. You will love it.

Not only was all their food fresh and delicious, they also had an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They have a somewhat limited menu, but it’s because they want to make the freshest possible seafood.

So good! Things to keep in mind before coming here - it’s BYOB (!) and all the seating is outdoors, so in the evening it does get a little buggy. Bring a six pack and bug spray.

Everything was super tasty. The onion rings are more like onion strings - very thin and amazingly crisp. I tried the steamed crabs, crab cake, fried scallops, and fried tile fish sandwich. Of everything I tried I have to say the scallops and tile fish were far and away the favorites.

Hands down the freshest seafood around! The best tuna taco I ever had! The family that runs the restaurant were incredibly welcoming and friendly. It’s a low key casual bring your own, right on the water.

I’ve been coming to Wildwood for a week vacay for the last six years from the Annapolis (Severna Park) area. Raised on the Maryland/Delaware beaches. Found hooked up six years ago and been going there since. Was there last night, today for lunch and going for hard shells tomorrow. Awesome family, very personable and excellent service and food. Highly recommend it, The owner catches the majority of the fish and seafood from what what I understand. Mike K.

Cute place to get authentic freshly cooked seafood. If you like a rustic vibe, laid-back attitude and good food this place is for you.

We had the flounder (one of the catch of the day) as sandwiches and taco and cold stone crab claws. It was delicious. Expertly batter fried, crispy, moist and not too many extras to mess with the taste. Just enough to celebrate the fish. Portions were very generous and worth the market price..... and I'm a big eater so it takes a lot to impress me. Definitely going back.

We ate here multiple times and it was equally delicious with great service. We even came in with our fresh catch off of a fishing charter and they cooked it up for us for dinner! Their motto “you hook we cook” really is exception! We highly recommend.

Hooked Up Seafood is the place to go for FRESH seafood if you are in Wildwood, Cape May, etc. Run by an awesome family who catch it in the morning and serve it to you the same day, you absolutely taste the difference in what they serve. Have had fried scallops, crab cakes, fish tacos and more and everything I've tried is always top notch. Onion rings are very good as well (not big rings, more shoe string style with a well seasoned breading). Yes, fresh seafood isn't cheap, but in my opinion the tremendous quality is well worth it. Definitely a must visit spot for any seafood lover!

I've been wanting to come here for years, after stopping in today I wish I came sooner. Food is phenomenal, no really if seafood is what you're looking for a stop here is a MUST. Fish is literally from boat to plate. Portions are very generous and the menu varies daily depending on what's caught. Tess you're awesome with the social media and Gianna up front is super outgoing and friendly! Can't wait to go back!

Bring some wine or beer! Great little place...order in the front and then grab a seat on their benches in the back next to the boats. Casual and many locals bring some wine and dine on this feast! My Queen has travelled the world and her Swordfish was the best she ever had.....my fish tacos AMAZING! Family run and quaint. Worth it!

Very fresh seafood that you can enjoy on benches facing the boat that was used to catch the seafood. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Keep coming back. If your looking for FRESH NON FROZEN seafood down the shore this is the place. Awesome laid back atmosphere on the water. Watched the fish being cut fresh and served shortly after. Nothing quite like a small family business that serves up the freshest food around. Brought some beers and had the best food and time with my family! Would 100% recommend.

This place is an absolute must try. Off the beaten path but worth the stop. Be patient in the parking lot.

Weekly dinners back in effect! Hooked Up is the best. Family run, it's an absolute experience. Kindly note: This is NOT a formal dining experience, but the food is restaurant-worthy, so pack your favorite (alcoholic) beverages, grab a picnic table on the water, and enjoy yourself. Yes, you need the clams and the chowder fries. Yes, the blackened fish really is the best and this summer, the sides are done family style. We love Hooked Up and all it offers.

Me and my wife went to hooked Up seafood the other day ordered the fish tacos and steamers everything was absolutely delicious the atmosphere was great right on the water fishing boats there is a really great atmosphere

The fish tacos were delicious with the mango sauce and pineapples the spicy sauce they put on it was absolutely phenomenal highly recommend this place to plan on going back again I’ve been craving it ever since I went there

The next time we go we’re 100% going to try the scallops and crab cakes we saw other people eating them and they looked very good.

You got to get there early when they open because there’s not much parking first come first serve on the parking situation but overall in conclusion the restaurant is definitely five stars they only use the highest quality food comes right off the boat they cook it right out back the steamers in the white sauce was absolutely delicious not overpowering garlic very very very good

If I haven’t said so already I would highly highly recommend this restaurant to anybody passing through Wildwood right over the Rio Grande Bridge it’s a great spot to stop after you spend all day at the beach I have a bring a green sweatshirt and gets a little bit windier on the bay outback on the deck overall five stars highly highly recommend it
