The Chicken House

Don't go anywhere else, y'all! This place is amazing 👏. Great food, priced nicely too. We ordered fried pickles, fried cauliflower, and two bbq bacon cheeseburgers, it was their daily special. The burger was the best we had, hands down. We sat outside because it was beautiful.

Saw a report on the Chicken House on the local TV station. Rode over and was delighted that our quoted wait time of 20-25 minutes turned out to be 6 minutes. Great service, excellent food both in taste and delivery! Waitress "Libby" was friendly, efficient and very helpful!

We rented the upstairs room for private event. It's a very nicely decorated room and the food was delicious. We had the fried chicken, livers, mashed potatoes and gravy, greenbeans and rolls. Everything was delicious and it was buffet style and they refilled them as we emptied them. Unfortunately I was enjoying the food so much I didn't get pictures of the food. I would like to come back and try the other items on their menu as well.

Road w/friends, chicken amazing, sweet potato fries “off the chain”, Onion Rings you have too eat these Onion Rings! AMAZING! Great atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
Cheyenne was nice to check that no milk was in the breading for wife.

I ordered the two thighs and a leg platter. It comes with two sides and bread with butter. You can ask for apple butter as well, which is very good. I had the cucumber salad which has a vinaigrette dressing and a hint of sweetness. The mashed potatoes were tasty and came with white gravy on top. The place was packed when we were there, but the service was very prompt. It was fun to enjoy local favorite!

I'd say that this is THE best restaurant in all of Kentuckiana, by a mile! From the cozy atmosphere to genuine hospitality, you can feel at home here, like being in your grandmother's kitchen being tended by a loving family.

The food blew me away. The portions. The quality... it was bewildering how good the value of it was. My girlfriend and I ordered the fish nuggets and fried green tomatoes.

Daily specials, an outside patio area, and a tiny replica of a country style dining room that you and your family can dine in comfortably. Coming here once a week never gets old. I hope the place is still around when i have grandkids my age!!! Support this wonderful establishment in any way you can, true Hoosier dining at its finest 👌

I have tried several different dishes, and everything has been great. It is all really good comfort food, but their fried chicken is the best around. Be sure to get the banana pudding. You will NOT be disappointed!

Our first time there... It was so delicious.. Our waiter was new there too and he did an amazing job. It did take a little while to get our food because they were busy but worth the wait for sure.. 10 out of 10 must try...

Food was delicious. Pretty crowded late afternoon on a Saturday but got seated right away. Took a little bit for the food to arrive but worth the wait. Would definitely come back.

This was my 3rd or 4th time here and by far the best experience service and food wise I have had. DH and I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was busy, but not crazy busy. We sat in the bar area. Our waitress was friendly and we had our food quick. We both ordered fried chicken with sides. Generous servings and the sides were great. I had mashed potatoes and baked beans. DH had Cole slaw and sweet potato fries. He said they were good. Overall, it was a great experience and didn't break the bank.

Chicken was fantastic. Chicken and dumplings is delicious. Collard greens are great. Mashed potatoes are great. Overall great experience.

Great vibe, friendly folks. The bluegill, dry rub wings and chicken livers are YUM.

excellent! down home country feel, good home style cooked food, worth the drive. Chicken n dumplings as good as memaws, maybe better. every food item i ordered and ate was excellent. food took a while to get, place was nice, clean with a pleasant atmosphere.
returned August 2023 Saturday evening. parking lot and dining room full of customers. kind of loud inside. Food consistently good as I remember. four pc all white with three sides $18.99 and enough for two. none in fried chicken, greens beans and potato salad and sweet tea were all good.

Food was outstanding and so was the waitress. She got all the orders correct. Food was served promptly and hot. Waitress checked on us numerous times while also taking care of other diners in the main room.
Highly recommend everything about Chicken House.

Great comfort food spot. Good chicken and sides. The chicken and dumplings are a hit always. Added some fresh baked sweets to their menu also. Outside is under construction but will be very nice when completed. The new interior is spacious and clean. Loved the spicy cheese curds. We had great service and will return.

This place is amazing!!! My sister and new brother-in-law had made reservations at another local restaurant for after their small wedding, only to arrive and find out they weren’t going to honor the reservation. She called The Chicken House and they were able to accommodate us immediately, no wait! There was 20 of us, including kids, our server was phenomenal and did an excellent job taking care of us. She never made a single slip in anything. Most of us had never been here before and EVERYONE loved their food, everything came out quickly, hot, and correct! We are so appreciative of them “saving” the reception for us and we will be back!!!

Ordered your ribs last Thursday. They were the absolutely ribs I ever ate . The fried chicken and chicken livers were also favorite so now I have to add another one. I think your food for the money is the absolute best around! Thank you, Lisa Trudeau
