Schamback Park at Westport

This is a nice semi-private boat ramp area that is considerably quieter than those closer to Louisville. There's a grill spot, lots of driftwood, wide open sky, and plenty of space if you wanna catch some rays and enjoy some fresh air. It is wheelchair accessible right to the dock and the parking lot of quite large and feels peaceful since it's not surrounded by buildings. It's a wonderful place to take your shoes off and listen to the water.

Inspired by a customer at work as she recalled, "Remembering the time I stood on the Dock gives me chills!"
That was it.....I was determined to get to the dock and I'm glad we did!

Just standing in the glory of the Ohio River surrounded by the pure essence of nature, friendly residents and the singing of birds over the waters was a restorative experience.

First time I had been there since the trees along the river were cut down. It actually opened up the view for color changing leaves across the river.

Nice park on water front. I’ll be back to enjoy some quiet time. My new spot to unwind and think.

Nice park, with a boat ramp, they host the Firecracker 5k there every July it's great run.

Great access to Ohio River. Has some picnic tables in the small park and a boat ramp with a couple of docks.

Great little semi secluded park to sneak off to with the girlfriend before going home to your wife. Can be decent fishing depending on what's running. Good place to slip in your boat. Just a nice all around little place. Don't go, I like having it to myself.

I love going to Westport Park it's relaxing watching boater's on the Ohio river Westport Park has grills play ground for kids the restrooms are clean you can walk the banks of the Ohio river and find awesome things like drift wood, arrowheads,all kinds of things if you have a boat there's a boat ramp too love it

A great place to take the family if you want to sit by the river and watch the boats go by. It’s very calm and peaceful. There are a couple swings and a small playground for the kids.

Love to be anywhere near water and this place is one of my faves! A beautiful and peaceful place to take 5 from a demanding world full of chaos.

Beautiful and peaceful. Wish they didn't remove all the trees in such a hurry... Now there is no shade.
