Norma Jean's Ice Cream

My kids and I love this place. They offer a wide variety of ice cream and they have chili cheese fries, sliders, mini corn dogs, etc.
You can sit out front and eat your snack or enjoy it in the back while looking out over the creek.

Simply Fantastic! A gem of Borden, IN.

My wife and I were out shopping other fun place near by and we mentioned getting ice cream. A local suggested Norma Jean's. So happy they did.

The perfect small town ice cream shop with a LOT of variety. Hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries and of course lots of different ice cream flavors and treats.

It was beautifully decorated and a very clean outdoor eating area.

The staff was nothing less than fantastic! Very helpful and friendly. Made excellent suggestions! The owner greeted me and was so friendly!

They even offer to split a scoop for you if you want 2 different flavors. The yippee Skippy is incredible, as is the pumpkin hand dip ice cream.

My son had a small cheese burger and it was excellent!

Their last day of the season is Halloween day and they're hoping to open back up early to mid April. The owners were so friendly and inviting.

You will love the decorations and environment. Very friendly locals! Saw one ordered a banana split, let's just say, bring a shovel! It was huge!

Lots of beautiful seating up front, but the big win in my opinion is at the back of the restaurant. Several picnic tables that over look a beautiful, slow moving stream. The kids were skipping rocks and enjoying nature along with their snacks and ice cream.

Take the time to visit you won't regret it if you love a small town ice cream shop.

Fantastic flavors and you can't beat the beautiful creek for ambiance. She packed my husband's waffle cone all the way to the tip! Wow!

This place has the best soft serve ice cream. I love Turtle Sundaes and Norma Jean's has the best have tried them from everywhere. It is worth the drive from New Albany to Borden if you have never had this ice cream. The setting in the back is really great. There is a creek, shade, and picnic tables. The staff is friendly and quick.

It was delicious. We had a foot long chili cheese dog and loved it. The milkshakes were delicious also.

Cute little place right in middle of Borden! Great food and ice cream! The Fat Elvis is my absolute favorite....banana ice cream with swirls of peanut butter and chocolate

Great little roadside ice cream place. Our kids loved the options and the taste of the ice cream. They also have malts which is a huge plus. Will definitely return. Make it a summertime family thing.

Such a wonderful place!! The food is amazing and the ice cream is outta this world!! I had the salted caramel extreme!! It's so smooth and rich! The perfect blend of salty and sweet!! This will for sure be a regular stop for me whenever I'm in the area!!

Delicious ice cream. Workers where courteous and explained some varieties to our large group. Owner got us a kiddie cone for my youngest grandson at 8 months old and his eyes lit up with his first bite. He will think all other ice cream as inferior. Thanks for making a good day great.

It was the first time that I was there with my son,daughter in-law and my first granddaughter. We sat on a hill side an watch the creek flow by. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. My and his daughter went down to the creek to skip rock on the top of the water.

Great place owned by great folks. The ice cream is great with a great view. Tables up front with easy access for anyone plus a wonderful area in the back with picnic tables and a great view of the creek. The wide shallow area provides a nice safe area for children to play.

Truly a hidden gem! Extremely reasonable prices, tons of selection, and a great outdoor seating in the back, creekside. The kids had a blast flipping rocks over, and we had a blast people watching, especially the city slickers who didn't know what a crayfish was until we educated them...

Great old fashion ice cream joint. We ate killer chocolate outside and loved the atmosphere. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. 40 miles from our house, but we stop in every time we are in the area.
