Selmier State Forest

Really nice area for a hike. The footing is good with loose gravel for most of it. I did around 4 miles but there are other logging type roads to up the mileage if you want. The views along the river are nice and you’ll see the old ruins of a dam and an old cemetery with some beautiful headstones and some soldiers from the War of 1812.

We love going here! It's only a few miles from our house and is just gorgeous. An easy walk for small kids as well!

Nice small state forest. The paths are gravel and the map is pretty easy to follow. The view of the river from the main gravel road is beautiful.

Absolutely lovely scenery. The water was pretty low for kayaking...but our group hanged in there! What a blast😎

Great hiking trails, there's a lot of benches and a lot of good tree coverage

We walk our dog here daily. It's our favorite place to enjoy the outdoors!

A lot of squirrel activity deer on the move chipmunks playing and woodpeckers everywhere

Beautiful! We take our dog "Candy" here a lot to explore and walk. Nature is just so beautiful out here!

I've hiked and hunted here for years very nice trails and they keep them cleared of fallen trees and debris not a lot of visitors their loss
