Ponderosa Steakhouse

Many fond memories of visiting Ponderosa when I was a kid. Seemed to be the place where every family member wanted to go for their birthday dinner!! Was excited to visit the Vincennes' location and enjoy a trip down Ponderosa memory lane! Place was clean, staff very friendly, food was good & as expected, and large parking lot! A big thanks to the Ponderosa team and owners for keeping the place going. Wishes of great business in 2024!!!

Today everything I tasted (catfish, wings, corn, mashed potatoes) was fresh. My steak was tender and delicious. The restaurant and food bars were kept nicely. Employees were very helpful, and personable. I would definitely visit this Ponderosa again!

We brought a school group of 24 on a Saturday evening. Laura the manager treated us great as I had a lot of requests she took her time to make sure things went smoothly. Meagan was our sever she pleasantly took care of us all with a cheerful and friendly attitude. Will eat here again. The restaurant was clean and buffet was refilled timely.

Ate here due to a work overnight run. In at 50 minutes to closer and there was plenty of hot, fresh food. Several items even got more after my first trip up! Nice selection too.

The awesome part? These photos were taken at 10 minutes before close. Kinda wish I lived closer.

Definitely will go back, haven’t been here in awhile but everything was very good this time around!

Haven’t been to one in years as they’re all closed back home. The service was good, the food was replenished, everything tasted yummy. Would stop in again if traveling through!

1st time here and what a buffet. Lots of selections,vegetables,salad toppings, desserts.
Creemee(soft serve) machine as well.
Foods were hot. Foods were replenished non stop. Never saw a empty food tray.
Buns super soft and moist really good .
Staff friendly and always on the hustle..

Food was fabulous. Lots of meat choices, noodles, salad, fresh bread, dessert and ice cream with toppings. The bread pudding was to die for

We got there an hour before closing. Everything was full, fresh and hot.
Staff was courteous and attentive.
Love their meatloaf, fried chicken and cooked cabbage.

There were lots of Food choices the food was hot. We had a large party and Our waitress came by often To attend to our needs. All in all we had a great

experience

This my special little place I go to. Its about an hour and two hours away from where I live so we always make it a day trip when we come.

More attention to customers on refills taking away plates n need to keep hot bar stocked better

This is the only Ponderosa remaining in Indiana. Ponderosa is a great meal at low cost. Love those sirloin tips and Ponderosa steak sauce... and the buffet.

Great service, amazing food! One of the last Ponderosa steakhouses around. When I come to Southern Indiana to visit Holiday World, it ALWAYS includes a stop at this location!!!

They closed ours in Scottsburg so was glad to find one.was very clean and great food

We had the buffet. It was tasty! Service was great, Amber is a wonderful and attentive server.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! Great place to go on a Friday night!

Kept very clean and hand sanitizer is made available to patrons before they use the buffet.

My granddaughters love this place plenty of seating great food atmosphere and service.

I will say it was way better than the last time...several months back.
