US Social Security Administration

My personal experience with Andalusia social security office was excellent. From the time I entered the building, I was greeted by a very friendly and informative officer. The wait time was not long at all and the young man that helped me file for Medicare was amazing and had me in and out in no time. Thank you for the great service!!

I was in and out within 5 mins and Hope took great care of me and was super fast at her job.

Male employee I spoke with at the Andalusia, Alabama Social Security Office today (14 Feb 2022) was very unprofessional, very rude, and literally hung up on me. I’m very disappointed that employees like this is what I have to deal with in my future Social Security endeavors.

The employee was rude and would not answer the question I had on filing an appeal. She then performed calculations supporting their claim of overpayment and stated they do not use information on form 1099 from 2021 showing SSA reimbursement of said amount.

Extremely unprofessional staff every time I have had to deal with them. One in particular talks down to guests regularly and is very condescending--in person and over the phone. It is almost impossible to get anything done at this office and retain any sense of personal dignity.

Rude and Disrespectful Staff. Very unprofessional throughout the entire encounter. I called to verify the specific documents needed for a replacement SS card and was instructed to bring an ID. I went to the Escambia County Courthouse and obtained a new ID. I drove over to the office submitted the documents as instructed and it was not acceptable as told by staff. I explained I had called and checked with them and was not told I needed a plastic hard copy of my ID. The lady talked down to me and was very unprofessional, raised her hand at the front desk as if she was going to hit me, and told me to comeback tomorrow. I am very hurt and still in disbelief this happened to me

Ridiculous office that pays NO attention to detail. Had to send in the CORRECT information multiple times because the person handling my change of name didn’t know how to read or look over information thoroughly. I had to call, get upset, and threaten to speak to higher athourity to get things done.

The most unconcerned, don't care people I've ever come in contact with. This includes DDS also. They do what they want when they want because they know there's no repercussions

On the occassions necessary to visit the Andulusia office it was glaringly obvious of the lack of professionalism displayed by the inept staff to display any skills of competitence in public interaction or administrative competience. An investigation of this office is suggested by US government.
This in regards to the little hole in basement of downtown location. SS building South of town was very good.
