Christie's On The Square

The chicken pot pie and salad was wonderful! Even the sweet tea was delicious! Great atmosphere, service. Wonderful place!

Stopped yesterday for the first time since change and pandemic. We're greeted and seated promptly, food was excellent, priced appropriately for size and quality. Ordered desserts to go, they were very tasty and almost to large. Millie was friendly, enthusiastic and efficient. Looking forward to next visit.

Very nice looking place sat outside and played my accordion and went inside but found no one there. Waited a few minutes still no one came out. Went outside played a few more tunes and went on

Christie's is such a cute place with amazing steaks and wonderful desserts. I have ate there several times and have never been disappointed.

I have to share today's experience at a restaurant I normally do not frequent. Today I wanted my palate to experience something different, unlike the drab food of the frequently visited "fast food grease pit."

Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly, bubbly, "Hello! How are you today!" Once seated, the menu was read over. I was eager to try out the deserts first thing!! I had to, without a second thought, go with the peanut cheesecake! Two of my favorite sweets in one!!

For the main course, I went with my comfort food. Spaghetti and meatballs! Floods of happy memories of childhood ran through my mind.

I know this review may seem like Anton Ego Ego's kind of review from Ratatouille, however I am beyond pleased with the service, atmosphere, dinning, and selection!

We had the Sunday buffet and it was delicious. The salads were homemade and a good variety. The hot bar had baked spaghetti, ham, and chicken. There were also vegetables and of course homemade yeast rolls. We plan to go back as the buffet changes each Sunday.

Our food was delicious! My husband and I had the Special (speg, salad and garlic bread), our Granddaughter had a large salad, and her boyfriend had Chicken Strips. The service was great and atmosphere was perfect. We try to visit at least once every few weeks since we live in Paoli.

This place is fantastic! I was here a year or so ago while on a business trip. I came home and have been telling my wife and friends about the food ever since. We finally made it back, this time with my family and our friends. Everyone liked it so much we ate here on or way to French Lick and again on our way home from French Lick. Burger, tenderloin, sweet potato fries, and the frozen strawberry salad are amazing! Oh, and the poppyseed bread. Also, the deserts are terrific! And, it's nice to find an establishment playing good Christian music as well. We'll be back!

Cute place with wonderful pork loin and coconut cream pie! Will definitely be back and we don't live in the area. Good price too. Oh and the BEST french fries! Done right..

Fantastic food .taste like a real Chef made it. Not like the regular blah food in the area .super clean great service.its worth the drive.salads are really good fresh tasting.home made baked biscuits. Even salad dressing taste like its made there.I would give it ten stars if I could.

Yeah I'd say this is another one of my favorite restaurants The atmosphere is great the service is wonderful I would suggest some new items on the menu but what they have is amazing. I especially love the quiche bacon and spinach with the frozen strawberry salad and poppy seed bread and the chicken pasta is my next favorite oh and then we have the The fruited pecan salad OMG 😲

All 7 of us enjoyed our meals. The service was quick and they did not seem to mind that we stayed on to catch up with family. Will definitely be back!

So glad that that Christie's on the Square has reopened for dine-in, and even has evening hours now!
Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, terrific food, beautiful presentations, generous portions, attentive, courteous and friendly wait staff. What more could a person want?

We had our office Christmas luncheon there..we had wonderful vegetable lasagna..some of the best I've had...salmon salad...and chicken pot pie covered with a flaky, tender crust..I will try it next! Carrot cake was moist, chunky, and flavorful...I will be going back soon...give them a try!

Went in for lunch. The buffet was small but delicious. Ham, meatloaf, the best cheesy potatoes in Indiana, and green beans. Everything was fresh including the triple chocolate cake. I wish I lived closer.

Lovely little eatery in downtown Salem. Love that some tables sit in little cubby holes. Have only ever seem that in movies. Excellent ice tea. Great food. Nice serving sizes. Friendly staff in a friendly town. Bathroom here is nicer than some of my previous apartments. Lol.

First time there. Attended a special event. Enjoyed it!
The food was good, except for the chicken....tough and dry. But, that being said, I will go back. Staff did a great job.

A group of friends and family ate here following a burial service in the area. It was a snowy day which Christie's decided to close early, but we were seated in the back room and had very good service and great food. Thank you for taking a group family picture for us.

Delicious food and wonderful service! I'm glad that they've reopened better than ever. The pork tenderloin was amazing, as were the garlic parmesan potato wedges.
