Andalusia Health

I presented to Dr. Carneys office in Andalusia with a Uterine Prolapse. The staff were , kind, considerate and conscientious. Dr. Carney made me feel comfortable, he is knowledgeable, considerate and professional. Two days after my office visit I was admitted to Andalusia Hospital for a Hysterectomy with repair. Everyone from outpatient , pre op, lab, made my hospital visit a smooth transition. They were friendly, encouraging, and helpful, it was a smooth process, the nurses in outpatient surgery could not have been more kind and caring. The surgery crew were amazing. Surgery was over before I knew it. The staff on the hall after my surgery were kind, professional, concerned and the care I received was absolutely the best! I am very satisfied with my medical experience and the care I received.

My husband had outpatient surgery and I can't tell you how great the service was from the friendly registration desk ladies to the outpatient nurses and staff. The surgery crew and anesthesia were excellent and recovery returned him with a smile and caring. As a health care provider myself I work in numerous facilities and could have my choice but I picked where they treat you like family.
A bigger institution is not always better.
You have a jewel in Andalusia Health.

I had a recent procedure at Andalusia Health. The registration process was super easy and the ladies were very friendly! Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. I want to especially thank Amy, Terri, Tina, Hannah, Sam, Carrie, Willie, Michele, Brittanee and Dr. Day! It was a wonderful experience and I didn’t have to travel out of town. Thank you again Andalusia Health!

I had to take my child to the ER the other night and the very young sweet girl working in the front waiting room could not have been more heaven sent. She was so patient with my child and so helpful. I felt so sorry for her having to deal with all the people who were so rude and hateful to her when she was just doing her job. The back staff was good too. The doctor didn’t seem too interested but then again I know they are very busy. When we left the lady up front made sure to say goodbye to my son and made him feel so comfortable. He keeps asking to go back to see his new friend Stefanie.

I had a great experience at the Walk In Clinic this past week. I had a terrible cough and needed to be seen. I walked in and was seen quickly. The Staff was wonderful and very friendly. I was able to get my medication and go home. The nurse practitioner was wonderful and very patient with all of my concerns. The practitioner was Melissà Johnson.

My mother has had two outpatient surgeries at Andalusia Health in the past 4 months. Both times, she has been treated by the sweetest people. She felt well taken care of while she was there, and any concerns or questions she had were answered right away. Ava is the best nurse, she is kind and very knowledgeable. We were very pleased with everything.

We had to visit the ER Saturday morning, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were excellent and Dr Preyear was so caring and professional. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.

The outpatient and surgical staff at Andalusia Health is amazing!! Ava & Amy are magnificent. When Amy put in my IV, it was so smooth and painless. The entire surgical staff worked together and made the process go so very quickly. They made the experience a very pleasant one. Jade is just as her name signifies, she’s a rare & precious gem!! She made sure I was picture perfect with the surgical bonnet!!

I recently had a procedure done at Andalusia Health. Everyone was kind, patient, and helpful. The employees worked well together and made my experience as easy for me as possible. It gave me a sense of relief to see familiar faces. I’m so thankful for our local hospital and would recommend it.

I went in to have my Gallbladder removed and had the pleasure of Ava being my nurse in outpatient. She was the most caring, compassionate, and attentive RN I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She calmed all my fears, gave the smoothest IV and went above and beyond to make my hospital stay as pain free as possible. I would use Andalusia Health again for the primary reason of having Ava as my nurse, as you just don’t see them care like she does!
I would also like to add the registrar who I dealt with was extremely polite and professional! She was super kind , polite and professional. Great staff working here!!

On today I had a medical procedure done I was a little nervous but a wonderful nurse that worked in the out-patient
was so beautiful even the nurses,the anesthesiologist
Dr Ashton well so great,well you see I love Andalusia Health, they treated me like family. Thank you.

I went in to have an ingrown toenail surgically removed. Dr. Day did the surgery. I want thank all of the staff. They were all extremely kind and put me at ease immediately. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. Again, many thanks!!

I had my gallbladder removed recently at Andalusia Health. Sandy, Jade, Courtney, Sam, and Deanna were amazing! The outpatient and surgical staff go above and beyond for their patients. I highly recommend having any procedure done at Andalusia Health.

Surgery:

On March 16th, I had out patient orthoscopic knee surgery on my torn meniscus at Andalusia Health , our local Hospital. Here’s my experience .
My wife drove me to the hospital at 7:15 am where we encountered plenty of free parking. We easily walked to admitting where we waited in line for 3 minutes and dealt with a courteous English speaking lady that checked me in quickly. Then a volunteer escorted us to a clean, modern single room where a nurse was waiting. My gown was on the bed and the nurse told us what to expect and left. In the next hour I was visited by 3 more staff members and my Doctor. They proceeded to go over their part in my procedure and check to make sure I’m comfortable and informed.
Then my nurse comes in , checks my vitals and hooks up my IV. I lay on the bed for around 30 minutes and staff wheel me to the OR.
After the procedure, I wake up feeling groggy but minimum discomfort. I’m wheeled back to my room where a snack tray and beverages are waiting. All staff members come by to check on me, and when I feel ready, they start discharge procedures. From the time I say I’m ready to leave, discharge takes 30 minutes till I’m out the door. Andalusia Health was by far the nicest most efficient hospital I’ve ever encountered. No crowds , no attitude, no parking issues, no having to beg someone to give you information, and no getting lost in the hospital maze. Hospital staff actually answers the phone and can answer questions.
Just another reason I love Andalusia. But if you like rudeness, confusion, inefficiency, and being lost in the medical machine, don’t come to Andalusia Health, because that’s not who they are . C Hudspeth

Our community is grateful to have the love and compassion shown by the staff at Andalusia Health. I had my first colonoscopy today with Dr. Day. From the moment I arrived until I left, everyone was very welcoming and went above and beyond while taking care of me. My room was very clean and organized. Amy and Ava did a wonderful job in outpatient department. Lindsay, Hannah, and Chris were great during my procedure, and Carrie afterwards in recovery. Everyone had a smile on their face as they worked. Making communities healthier is what Andalusia Health is all about.

Had a wonderful stay in Labor and Delivery! The nurses, Dr. Carney and Dr. Bang gave amazing care to my wife and baby boy. Can't brag enough on Shelley, Laura, Amy, Joan, Baylynn, Jane, Falisa, and Tammy. Chris Blatz administered the epidural and my wife was very comfortable throughout labor. Everyone was so encouraging! The food was great and the room was kept very clean by Deeanna! Love our community Hospital!

My wife had a heart cath done this past Thursday. Dr. Price and his team are the best. I would like to give a shout out to one RN in particular who made my wife feel more at ease with everything going on. Her name is Heidi Martin! All nurses should be like Heidi! Heidi was very thorough in explaining things to my wife before and after the procedure. She went into details about the aftercare. We will be forever grateful to Heidi and the rest of the nurses as well as Dr. Price! God Bless each of you abundantly!

A week ago I had a TKA with Dr.Kelly. I must say from the time I was taken back to the outpatient room before surgery until I was discharged this hospital and it's staff made me feel so comfortable and at peace. The whole surgical staff was so wonderful. They told me everything they were doing and has such great attitudes, believe it or not that makes a big difference when you are going through surgery. The nurses on each shift were so helpful and never made you wait if you needed them..I just wanted to say that the experience i had during my surgery and stay at Andalusia Health Hospital was very comforting and I would tell everyone about this experience. Dr. Kelly and the whole staff should be proud. Great job.
