Very cozy, family run, the food is amazing, I got the sloppy joe grilled cheese and fries with banana bread to go, when we drove back through the area, we were going to head back for dinner, but the were closed. Food us delicious! We will be going back! The take out banana bread was in a clam shell with a joke on it :) This place is great! Want to go back for the other desserts!

We just finished an amazing breakfast after a freezing morning of watching the Sandhill Cranes in Medaryville, IN. This little diner advertises “home cooking “ and they deliver! Open from 6:00am to 2:00 pm, you can’t possibly do better for lunch or breakfast. The building is unpretentious but the service is great, and there is wonderful food at reasonable prices—easy to see why it is such a popular hang out for this small farming area community. We left with doggie-bags and feeling like we now have friends in Medaryville. When we come back next year I bet they remember us! I wish Anita would open a branch in mid-coast Maine!

I have been here a few times now and They never disappoint! I love this little mom and pop restaurant great food great service and the prices are so cheap for the quality and quantity of food you receive. The owner is there working which shows a lot in my opinion. They have truck parking which I absolutely loved because it’s hard to get a decent meal on the road in a big truck. When I walked in they were busy but I was greeted right away and taken care of so well by all the staff I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a good home cooked meal and service with a smile!

Stopped there for breakfast for the first time on Wednesday, stopped again with co worker Friday for lunch. Excellent food at great prices. All homemade, you feel like your in Grandma's kitchen, very warm and inviting. Highly, highly recommended.

I love Anita’s! The smothered chicken sandwich with mushrooms and onions is my favorite. The service is great, and always friendly. Highly recommended!! We always leave with a smile and full belly 😊

Our waitress remembered details from the last time we visited this restaurant about our individual drinks. The food arrived very warm and appealing to view. The portions are very fair for our size. The food was tastey and they got the order correct with no onions. We will give this establishment our business.

Anita's is a great place to go for lunch or breakfast. They have delicious home-cooked food, great prices, and incredibly friendly service.

They have a great "small-town" feel. You can dine in at a private table or join the large social tables in the center of the room to have a meal and join in conversations with your neighbors.

Their spicy chicken omelette is out of this world.

This really is one of my favorite breakfast locations. Adorable little business with great food and excellent coffee. We found this gem while visiting the Jasper-Pulaski Wildlife area in pursuit of the sandhill cranes. The local people saw cameras and helped point us to areas where birds were located that morning. I have been there four times and was excited to return this week. We drove up and saw no cars. Sign on door indicated covid had hit this location. I sincerely hope everyone regains their health and they can reopen this gem of a Midwest diner. Looking forward to fall 2021 to a hearty breakfast and friendly conversation with the locals!

This place is a great sit down family run restaurant. All their food is made fresh every day and homemade. I haven't ate anything I didn't like yet.

I live in Missouri and got to eat here last week on my way back from Michigan..was with my parents who had eaten there once before.. The waitress Mary is a great waitress.. Being a waitress for 50 years myself I am such a critic.. She is awesome..
Tried to think of a joke for her but one came to me after I left..
Do you know what a honeymoon salad is..""lettuce alone"".. Mary thank you for your good service ..the glass and the coffee cup.. Certainly do appreciate it..

My favorite restaurant hands down and the waitresses are amazing the owner is an absolute sweetheart and the food is worth way more than what you get charged.

Food is home cooked and tastes great, sometimes a little wait but worth it. Pies and cobblers are all homemade and the staff is friendly and keeps your cup full.
