Springhill Campground

I think it pretty cool and laid back everyone everywhere looks at my boyfriend and I funny so that's to be expected because of age gap but at heart we are pretty much same age and he is the best friend I've ever had anyways I love it we love anywhere we can go off grid and have peace and quite. But thank you for being patient with us and giving us a chance even tho we look very different then everyone else we are very happy with a simple life where everyone is good to each other and no negativity but I say this place is pretty cool

Tent camped last night met a lot of really nice folks over there, lady at the desk was all around fantastic to us! Though it was our first time and not our last we felt so welcomed! Thank you folks for such a wonderful experience! zero complaints or issues with this campsite! Will be back again for sure 🙃

I don’t understand what the bad reviews are for!

It’s a well maintained campground! Is it a KOA? Absolutely not, but everyone here has been amazing! I know I’ll be staying here next year when we come back to Indiana!

We are very grateful for the strict 5mph policy on the grounds as well, with 2 young children I didn’t have to freak out when a vehicle was coming by!

I would recommend this place to everyone!

I'm handicap and it was easy access for me to fish the pay lake caught 2 descent channel cats 1 close to 5lbs and the second like a 2lber missed 3 or 4 others had a great time.

Great atmosphere and perfect setting for outdoor adventures

This campground is very family oriented and is ran very well...Even has a guy that cleans and even picks up those nasty cigarette butts...
We have stayed several times over the years and it is not a fancy KOA or Mainstream campground but does have a nice pool and fishing and Ron and the staff always makes you feel welcome and offer services most campgrounds simply do not offer...

Enjoyed the actual campground. The other visitors were nice and respectful. There was always something to do round the clock. I love how they have a in ground pool and play area for kids.. Wish it wasn't directly off the road and the play area isn't fenced in.. Pool is tho. My fav part is the paths u can take a golf cart or walk that leads back to a large creek for more fishing.. Or my fav thing.. Rock hounding...

I absolutely love going fishing. I love the fact that you don't have to have a fishing license which I normally do but I just think it's more convenient to go and get away. I love going and setting up a little before dark and fishing until daylight in the early morning.

The owners started treating me like family from day one. They consistently go above board to insure customer satisfaction. Great people with great values.

We stayed for one night. The owners were super nice and our son had a blast at the pool all day

Awesome fun! Went for the fireworks show in July. We night fished 2 nights in a row. I out fished my husband with 4 good sized cats, husband had 2 and my MIL had 1 over the span of the 2 nights. Fireworks were great.

Caught 8 nice Chanel cat. Last weekend. Good times

This is one of the most family friendly campgrounds that I have ever been to. Everyone there is wonderful and helpful. If you get a chance to go there and camp make sure to do it

After reading the reviews and other items on the web we were a little skeptical staying here. Thankfully my wife listened to me and we stayed. I had a lot of fun and it was nice to have a place the kids could swim in a pool and the guys could fish in the lake. Sure there are nicer places out there but for the purpose we needed it served us well and wasn't too far from anything in town. Another reviewer said the place was dilapidated. If you base that off the one building I saw then I can see where someone might think this, however I never thought any one was going to offer me "special sausage or a hockey mask knife wielding guy was going to come out of the pond on Saturday night either", that's someone looking for a KOA style campground. If you want a nice place with really friendly people and all the firewood you can carry(hold) for $5 then this is your place. My only issue I had, was the bathroom and shower stalls were a little tight and the shower head was really low for me. It could be because I'm 6'4" guy and every showerhead hits me in the chest at just about every place I stay.

Folks, if you want to have fun along with convenient camping then this is the place for you. Swimming, fishing, relaxing. Friendly staff. Ron Geyer (owner) and his friendly beautiful manager Julie are great people. Also, thanks to Julie's magagement style and Ron's determination Springhill Campground has seen improvements over the years. They have found ways to improve each year and are just the kind of folks to keep finding new ideas. Give it a try. You'll be glad you did. Oh, and it is family oriented too.
