Hoosierland Campground

We have a spot we pay for that's seasonal. We spend almost the whole summer pretty much living there. The kids love the place. They've just recently made it to seasonal residents only. You can of course go there for just the day to swim or fish and have a picnic or what not. But when it comes to staying it's seasonal residents only and i actually love this because no longer do you have to worry about strangers being there over night and it just feels safe. You get to know all the people residing there and it becomes like a great big family. Everyone looks out for each other. Sometimes they have bands on the weekend. They used to have karaoke night but for some reason that event hadn't taken place since the beginning of summer. Maybe due to covid I'm not sure. They have a clubhouse also with a pool table and great food. They do a poker run event every now and then in supprt of raising money for either a cause or updating the campground in some fashion. Everyone runs around on their golf carts collecting their cards . It's fun and the way they organize it is interesting and entertaining to play. This place is great and the kids don't even want to come home 3/4ths of the time. There's a playground up top by the lake and one down bottom so no matter where your camper resides the kids have a play park close by. And the same goes for the bathroom/shower rooms. And the plumbing is brand new around the whole campground so now you can look forward to a hot shower if the shower in your camper is either out of service or occupied by someone else. So overall this place is really great!!!!!!

Wonderful! My toddler could touch almost anywhere in the water which made both mom and daughter feel safer. My oldest not quiet a teen yet also had fun swimming and playing both in the water and on the playground equipment. We would love to have a similar place in the future 💚

It's a great friendly campground the owner is a great guy and peaceful place to come to safe environment and all n all just funicular recremend this place to anyone

My grandkids love playing and swimming here. The beach is small enough to keep an eye on them and the water shallow enough for the young ones to enjoy. We didn't have any luck fishing but it was still fun.

Fantastic, Great food, Great people. Love it!!! I have a sale in the country down the road from them. BLESS THEIR HEARTS!! I'm open every other weekend till 12/1/21 ... They are open Every weekend to the public 8 or 9 am till?? We are usually open when they are on Sat & Sun. so.. when I called to order, bout 800 am. I was getting busy, so they brought our order to us since we are 1 min. west of them.
But, when they 1st started serving for the countryside/public/ farmers, etc.. I was tickled pink.. When they stopped by Dream Sales rummage and told me. Wow, I do not have to run to town to grab breakfast and coffee. Just a jog down the road to a real country kitchen!!! Now how can you beat that!!!!! Stop by and say Hey to Karen & .They are awesome ladies, you will love chatting with them, there at the "Hoosierland Campground"!!!!

I absolutely LOVE this place! We've only had a spot for one season and we've already made lifelong friends!! Everyone is wonderfully nice! I feel like my kids are safe out here and they get a much needed "electronics" break every weekend!! Thank you, Hoosier Land, for being my family's happy place!! We can't wait for April!!

Myself,my husband my parents and a few other people went here for some of us it was our first time coming here and specifically my husband and i were pretty impressed we loved the swimming area the dining the staff are such sweet people made us feel welcome answered any question we had we met quite a few people that were so nice,respectful and helpul via helping us with wood until ours came stopping to talk to us helping with directions to stores near here (we arnt from here) it honestly felt like a little community more than just a place to camp over the weekend…..during the day it was active people playing games having fun enjoying there selfs and at night it was peaceful other camgrounds i have been to have a tendency to be annoyingly loud after certain times and ik ik its supose to be fun but those other places had people who was drunk and trying to start stuff with people and breaking stuff etc so this place was a pretty big difference compared to the others i have been to i would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice relaxing weekend getaway definitely for adults now for kids i would recommend a bigger park or more activities but besides that its great here check it out ☺

Nice campground good people

We camped here for several months as my husband travels for work. Very nice place and quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again if In the area. The food is great also and Saturday morning breakfast is definitely something to try.

Fun place! Nice guest house with restaurant and beach.

Hidden gem in Summitville! Took 7 kids for the day and they weren't bored for a second, great staff in the clubhouse, nice playground and paddleboats, very reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back!!

Always a great time!! Dreama is always so helpful and sweet. Have my daughters birthday here every year!! Going to be tradition for as kong as we can!

My husband and I loved camping here! The owners are so friendly! Great fishing and swimming too! Very peaceful, can't wait to go back!

Is a very quiet and very nice campground to fish or just sit on your porch of your camper of your camper and have a good time with family And friends

Love this place not to bad the price is cheap they have swimming, fishing, play area for the kids club house that you can buy food at and have stuff that goes on there and listen to music there etc.

I enjoy camping at Hoosier Land.. they have great dining service, I really like the management. Great place to have fun in the sun with family.

After rethinking my previous experience and learning more about the owner and staff I would like to apologize for my poor review before and now that I am a seasonal camper would like thank them for their hospitality and flexibility that they show everyone

Love this lil campground so much that we are purchasing a trailer here. Swimming, fishing, playground for kids, and lots of friends.
