We called a handful of companies for service to our existing unit, to find that dinosaur was not repairable. (Adam) Great Lakes is the only company that was HONEST, fair, quick to respond and genuinely concerned wasin our best interest. Absolutely zero pressure to commit and explained everything to a science. Kinda feel like we became more of a friend than a customer. Thank you to all of you!

I am currently sitting in a cold home on January 24, 2024 after a Great Lakes service tech left my home for the second night in a row. So you might be wondering why I am giving 5 stars, yet I have a cold home. Well, it is because on the first night my tech Tim came out, he gave a lot of great home owner maintenance advice. Stuff that I should have known, but did not. He also worked very diligently to get the furnace operating properly. When he left last night, the furnace was warming up the house. Then after just a few cycles, our problem began again. He came out a second night and did further evaluating. The whole time he was here he was explaining how everything worked and the stages of progression and then why if A was the problem what we would be seeing and if B was the problem how it would be different. At the end of the night, seriously, my wife was putting the kids to bed as he was getting ready to leave, he left with more advice and some legitimate options. For now, we have a simple workaround that is safe and will not leave us freezing to death and a discussion to be had on how to move forward based on the options presented. Never once was he forceful on any purchases or excessive repairs. In fact, one of the available options is to save money by waiting a few hours and scheduling a repair during regular hours so we are not charged for late-night fees. Overall, the experience was good. While HVAC repairs are costly and even more so the bigger the company, I am pleased with the overall professionalism and genuine care Tim possessed. I would definitely recommend.

PS. People complaining about service fees have never had a diag run on their vehicle and it shows.

From the moment we called them we had excellent service. They were out immediately to diagnose the problem and had us a new furnace installed the following day. Everyone was amazing to deal with and made the process easy! I appreciate you guys!

Just had our annual furnace service. It was completed by Tim. He arrived on time and was very thorough and neat. He answered all my questions. A real example of a person that is knowledgeable and friendly. A great representation for the company.

Tim the service tech came, diagnosed, and resolved my problem within 15 minutes. Tim was very knowledgeable, detailed, and polite. Stephanie and Tim represents the company very well. My A/C stopped working during a heatwave. I called Great Lakes second (my usual people weren't available until tomorrow but it was 87 in my house - no thanks). They were able to come out the same day, and a few hours after I called. Matt Smith was my technician. He diagnosed the issue, had the piece he needed in the van, and installed it quickly. He went over any questions I had and explained everything step by step. He even sold me on their spring and fall checkups! Thanks Matt! You're awesome!

GL tech actually arrived earlier than expected (office called ahead to ensure it was ok). He immediately put on his boot covers (respectful) and went quietly about testing and cleaning. His inspection was thorough and timely and he explained what he found so that we understood.

Installed insulated tubing and vents for two shower fans. While in attic discovered a disconnected vent for the chimney vent from water heater. Jerimee reattached. This could have caused damage in attic with too much humidity and carbon monoxide emissions. Seth his partner also did an amazing job. Thankful for the work preformed and for the other discovery. Jerimee also took time to make sure the water heater was venting correctly. Very pleased and would highly recommend.
