Great atmosphere and music. The employees were amazing. The Chef did an outstanding job on my ribeye! Definitely going back for more.

Loved the natural and mixed palette decor, friendly service, and delicious eats. Street parking was easy early in the morning. Coffee was a delicious roast that I could have sat drinking for hours. You’ll definitely get what you’re paying for with more than adequate portion sizes.

After much deliberation, this is absolutely the best breakfast joint downtown south bend. Its affordable, they give solid portions, and their pancakes are undefeated! (Seriously what are you doing to the cakes??? They are SO GOOD). It’s a bit small so while it can fill up, worth the wait every time!

I was recommended this place by someone leaving town. I now understand why, after eating here.
The staff was amazing and very friendly.
I had a Cup of Joe, and Biscuits & Gravy, with two Eggs (cooked in bacon fat I believe) served on top, side of Raisin toast with homemade jelly.

Mr Boss is a very nice guy from NY with that ol'school welcoming flavor.

If you want a good breakfast at a good price, THIS IS THE SPOT.

This is an outstanding restaurant. It's a breakfast, brunch, and lunch type place. My husband Michael and I have been here four times now. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and they already remember us (as we're instant regulars). Worth special mention, Elena, Amber, Karla, and Meg are awesome (thank you for your great service)! The food is so good! We've tried a few different things, and they've all been great (chicken parmesan sandwich 🍗🥪, cheese grits 🧀, fried haddock🐟, cole slaw, side salad 🥗, french fries🍟, chicken tortilla soup 🍲, chicken corn chowder 🍲, and hot tea ☕).

This is a must try in South Bend.

The shrimp and grits was a true Cajun surprise. It was good, however a lil on the spicy side of things. Service was great. It was much busier today than a month ago.

Would totally eat here again! Great food, nice vibe...what's not to like? We had the salmon and the flank steak, both delicious.

Some friends and i were in South Bend for a work thing. We stopped into L Street kitchen for a late breakfast before leaving. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage, and it was so hot and fresh (and delicious) that i burned my mouth a little. My friend got the tacos with turkey sausage, and they looked AMAZING and he ate every bite. The atmosphere was really comforting and homey, which i love. Service was friendly and attentive. For 3 coffees and 3 meals, our breakfast was around $43, which isnt a bad price at all! Im hoping to stop in again the next time we're in the area.

Have been there on multiple occasions with trying a different meals each time. Food has always been wonderful tasting, staff has always been friendly and the coffee there is delicious. L Street is my favorite breakfast place in the entire area!

Great little diner! I ordered the bacon cheddar burger with aioli sauce and it was pretty good, but every other entree’ I saw brought out for other customers looked way better than what I ordered like this meatball sub that had blocks of feta melting on it! I’ll pry get that next time. Or their eggs Benedict… that also looked really good!

Such a great breakfast/lunch spot. So many options to choose from and the price is reasonable. Delicious food and GREAT service!! HIGHLY recommend

L street kitchen was great. I went in on Sunday morning at about 7:40 because they were the only ones open.

Greeted by the cook as soon as i walked in my server jazmin had drinks in front of me in less than a minute.

I was going to get breakfast tacos but she recomended the brisket meal. It was great. Large portions. The potatoes were super tasty.

The only problem that i had was self inflicted. I thought i was pouring barbecue sauce all over my brisket but in my hungover post tail chasing haze, i realized that it was in fact grap.. i ruined part of the meal becUse i am stupid.

Go here and eat well but be smarter than me.

My new favorite breakfast place! The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing! Definitely looking forward to going back and getting the Eggs Benedict ASAP!

still great food great location and people..

I've been here twice and haven't been disappointed yet. If you're looking for a cozy, clean, inviting place to eat for breakfast or lunch, this is it. The coffee is fresh, delicious and perks you right up. I've had the chicken and waffle, and the shrimp and grits. Both amazing options and super filling, while being incredibly affordable. I don't know what I'm having next but I'm excited to go back and try more amazing options.

The service here was polite and without delay. What an amazing omelette with ham, sausage, bacon, spinach and cheese; and with awesome rye toast (homemade strawberry jam) and potatoes. I bought 2 homemade blueberry muffins on the way out and they were nice and moist. Good comfort foods.

Inexpensive, cute, homey kind of place with surprisingly good food and several vegetarian options for which I was appreciative (as simple as offering avocado instead of meat). I used to frequent this place when it was Tom's diner years ago and they still have the same tables. Bathroom needs some help as the toilet is loose from the floor and it doesn't flush very well but otherwise a good experience

Great food, quick service and super reasonable prices! L Street Kitchen is a definite must-visit when downtown. It never disappoints!
