Soho Japanese Bistro

Having anticipating the opportunity to leave a review of Soho for weeks, I find myself distracted after reading so many negative reviews about Soho before expressing my own experience. Soho is the best Japanese Restaurant I have visited in Indiana.

On 01/17/24, I came for a late dinner to wrap up a business conversation at around 9 P.M. We were grateful to find a dark, comfortable restaurant that was not over-crowded or rushing to push customers out before closing time. Our servers were very hospitable (thank you Marissa and Haley). I couldn't help but notice that the host would appear near our table to overlook our stay and ensure that we were neither displeased nor left waiting for anything (thank you Jaden for your keen awareness and honorable professionalism). After leaving a standard tip, we spent about $160 on a dinner for two with sake and a few Japanese beers. If you love sushi as I do, my recommendation for you is a voyage upon the 'Ocean's 11', 45 piece assortment of Sashimi, Nigiri and Sushi Roll delight complete with full dinner service in a fine dining atmosphere. Magnificent. Bravo Zulu!

Our work Christmas party for 8 people was held here. We really enjoyed the fun cooking demonstration. He did a great job. The food was great. My scallops were the best I've ever had. We will come back again.

We heard many good things about this restaurant and finally we went and tried! My kids love the food and the chef’s show! I like the atmosphere and food as well, I like how the chef and the server treated kids like they are very important customers, the chef made the balloons for my kids! The only thing is if you come at the busy time, there will be long line… we went around Sat noon and no wait😁

Live cooking presentation is always entertaining. Food is excellent. Always a great time! Awesome group dining experience!

Dinner last night was awesome!!! Believe it or not, it was my first time at a table side hibachi. I was there to celebrate a birthday for my friend and there was 8 or 9 of us. While waiting on our reservation, a couple of us sat in the bar where I got a bottle is sparkling sake and it was really tasty, as in I think it’s what champagne wishes it was. Then came the salad and miso. The soup was great and the salad had the best dressing I’ve ever had on it. I don’t know what dressing Japanese restaurants use, but the one I had last night was the best of any I’ve tried. I went with appetizer of coral eel sushi. I don’t know who looked at an eel and said “I bet if we kill it and eat it raw it’s going to taste great,” but I’m glad they did. Then I had the main course where I went with steak and scallops. I ordered extra rice and it was unnecessary. I couldn’t finish it all. I was stuffed!!! Go there! I was very pleased!!!

Really great service, and nice decor. The owner walked the floor the entire time we were there, ensuring that their customers had a great experience.
Unlike other hibachi​ style restaurants I've been too, SOHO was NOT heavy handed with the oil or soy. The flavors were really outstanding!! Additionally their sushi was fresh, creative, and most importantly.. delicious!
Prices were on par with the competition, but their flavors and service give them the edge in my opinion. We'll be back!!

We come here two or three times a year and we always have a great time. The food it delicious and the staff is always friendly. The Mongolian Grill Chefs always do a great job but they usually put more effort into the performance part when we bring the kids with us. If you come in for just Sushi be prepared to spend a good amount of time there though. The wait staff works both the sushi side and the grill side so they can be a little slow at times. Still worth going and having the grill and sushi though and the drinks are unique and yummy!

A good hibachi experience where you get a little show while your meal is being prepared right in front of you. I have yet to try the sushi and other menu items but the lunch platters are quite good. The meat comes in small pieces so expect a selection of medium to come out medium well.

If you like japanese food, you will definitely love Soho Japanese Bistro!
The food is fresh/hot right of the grill! Our waiter was friendly and attentive! Great Family atmosphere!

Having been here many times, the chefs are always happy, interactive and interesting. Come here with my nephew, the experience is very good! ! ! Will come again! ! Koto steak, lobster, scallops and shrimp for two and many other things are all at good prices. delicious

The food was delicious and the chef was entertaining.

Food is great. Chefs are funny and entertaining. Services are attentive. Always busy but food is typically to you in a reasonable manner.

This is the second time visiting the place, very nice hospitality,great food, outstanding environment. If you love Asian food you must Try Soho....

We came here for Valentine's and got to sit at the bar with Serena. The food and drinks were fantastic. Serena was super friendly and professional. She gave us plenty of recommendations for local spots to visit during our trip and gave had lots of tips and advice for us. I would definitely recommend.

We got ours gluten free and it was fantastic! Definitely going back soon.
