Chicory Cafe

I was in town and needed a coffee (one not from Starbucks, preferably) and found this great spot. While I do wish they had a pour-over option, my coffee was great. The real star was their mac and cheese though! It was perfectly cooked and insanely flavorful. The price reflected the quality of ingredients used. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, with several people chatting and a few working without distraction. Do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it.

Lovely friendly service. We ordered French Quarter Caramel Latte, a Mud Turtle and an Irish Whiskey Coffee. The barista did such a great job that our coffee break ran into dinner.
We ordered a Cuban, an Avocado BLT and a Bacon Bacon Mac and Cheese. Our choices were great. Specially the Mac and Cheese.

My partner and I had lunch here today for the first time and it was fantastic! The cashier helped me pick a latte and nailed it- I had the mud turtle and it was so yummy. We got a mac n cheese, some jambalaya, and beignets too. One of the employees took a photo of a caramel apple cider for social media and offered it to us for free and it was also delicious.
I think the only feedback I’d have is the food took a long time to come out. Must’ve been short staffed or something, but it was so good we totally forgot about the wait😂
Will definitely be back!

They had great low carb options for me and great carb options for my husband. We came for the quiche and I also got a red pepper soup I have been thinking about since I had it two days ago. The place was also so nice to eat at. quiet, chill, coffee shop vibes.

Stopped here first thing in the morning and lazed around for a few hours. Great service, good food and really tasty coffee. Apparently they have a bar too plus live music and other events. I'd come back here again for sure due to the fantastic service I received.

Great selection of food, comfortable relaxed environment. This has a new Orleans flair and of course we got the inexpensive and very warm and delicious Biegnets! Excellent coffee, jambalaya, Mac n cheese was bubbling hit and crispy. Only positive things to say!

Great coffee spot to relax and kick back. Perfect if you're looking get out of the cycle of chain coffee shops. Very unique and NOLA themed. Fast and friendly staff that took time to spell my name to which I was not accustomed to! If you're in the area stop on by for their seasonal menu! I got the chocolate Almond Latte.... OUTSTANDING I SAY!! SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. I'm originally from Louisiana, but I live in California. This is a Top five for me and I'm sure it will be a top five for you!! Oh and there's a huge fleur-de-lis on a wall if you feel like being touristy for Instagram.

First time at Chicory Cafe. Fun atmosphere! Lots of choices. Delicious food! Comfy seating along with tables and chairs.

No “Pick Two” on the weekends.

Place was packed. Long line went fast. Super friendly staff. All open tables were filthy. Had to ask to be cleaned off. Very helpful.

Good food and drink. We came around 10 am for breakfast. Ordered two coffees and an olive salad breakfast sandwich to share. Will definitely be back when downtown.

We usually go there for the Beignets and whatever seasonal coffee they have. Since we were there for a late lunch we tried the Muffuleta and it was fantastic! The bread was warm and fluffy, and since it's so big they have the option of ordering half a sandwich.

A chic cafe with lots of food options and great coffee, this spot provides an fun ambient location to have a chat with a friend, go on a date, or study/work.

Food is delicious! Enjoy the special of BLT Flatbread. Their Spinach Artichoke Appetizer was also good.

I went in for lunch and had their Jambalaya with cornbread. Jambalaya was very flavorful with the right amount of spice and the cornbread was a little sweet but delicious.

I've been here a million times, but today Haley made my experience really special! She was working the front counter and I couldn't decide on a coffee, so I asked her to make me whatever she felt like making. I ended up with a DELICIOUS chocolate covered strawberry iced latte with strawberry cold foam! This isn't on the menu, but I think they should add it and name it the Haley. Thanks, girl, for such a fun drink and for going above and beyond on my weird request and for being so kind! She deserves some recognition and a treat!

Every time I go here it’s excellent service and amazing food! Best coffee in South Bend! Amazing sandwiches, and if you’re lucky to attend a shrimp boil you definitely should!
The French Qtr Latte is my favorite, and the Andouille Egg Po’Boy! Definitely get the beignets too!

Love this place. Have only been for coffee and sweet treats, but the employees are so friendly and welcoming, the coffee is pretty good and the prices are great!
