Dally's Ozark Fly Fisher

Great people! One stop fly shop. I look forward to stopping by. It's always my first stop before I wade into the Norfork Tail water. This trip I had three reels spooled with fresh line (4wt, 5wt, 6wt). I bought some bugs. I renewed my license. But more importantly I got to hear some stories, shared some laughs, and listened when they talked about what was working, and where.

Today was a good yet frustrating day at Wildcat. I was being completely mauled by a new fly rod I picked up,no distance, just a wad of clumped up fly line floating down the river. I was at the point of giving it away or just stuffing it in a trash can, when a sweet lady that was also fly fishing said I should stop and talk to someone, so I did. I stopped at Dallys, wept and whined about hating this rod, and he immediately took myself outside with the rod and simply explained the difference from what I'm used to, and started slinging out perfect beautiful cast. Handing the rod to me ended up with the first attempt wound around my head like a straw hat. After a nice relaxing chuckle he explained exactly what I was doing wrong and the next few cast were almost as good as his. YES I said almost!!!!! But that's why they are the pros and even with over 10 years experience fly fishing, I realized I am still the grasshopper. Thank you!

Great day on the Norfork with Steve. Lots of fish caught from a drift boat paddled by Steve, who’s knowledge of the river and where the fish are was incredible. Beautiful day with hardly anybody else seen on the river. We’ll be back next year hopefully with Steve again. A real memorable day with a great guide.

While on a vacation to the Cotter area to fish the White River, I decided to get a guide from Dally's for a day on the river. I've been a very satisfied Dally's customer for years, but I had never had an occasion to hire a guide from Dally's as I was always fishing with a large group of friends. My visit last week allowed me to spend a day on the river with Chad, who I would rate as a top guide, not just in the Cotter area, but in all of the locations I've fished in the US.

My reason for hiring a guide service was that I wanted to fish for brown's, so I was willing to take the chance of catching nothing as opposed to catching a lot of rainbow. Having talked with Chad many times over the years I've visited Dally's, he was my first choice by a long shot. After discussing my desire for brown trout, we decided on the day and location for our float. I mention this as Chad's significant knowledge of the river allowed us to tailor the trip to be what I wanted, as opposed to simply floating the river the way hundreds of other guides do for their clients each day.

Chad had everything prepared for a day on the river when we met at the boat launch, so we were quickly on the river. Chad brought along his dog on the boat, who was a better companion on the trip than many of the guides I've hired over the years. He (Chad, not his dog) had us quickly on browns, so it was up to me to get my fly where Chad directed. I wish I could say that my casting was perfect throughout the day, but I did catch a few branches and logs, however, Chad took it all in stride, got me free, and got us back on course. The day was productive and exceeded my expectations, but that was mostly due to Chad just being a great guide.

I highly recommend Dally's for a fly fishing guide, and I highly recommend Chad. If you're going to be in a boat with someone for the entire day, make sure they're patient, friendly and a good fly fishing coach, which you have with Chad.

Had a magical day on the water. A little hot, but fishing was amazing. Ten stars for our guide, Adrian, who was fantastic. Great personality, put us on fish, and was as cool as a cucumber. We’ll be back. Would recommend asking for Adrian.

Came to visit the White River for the first time and Dally’s was recommended to us by a guide we use on the Green River in Utah and in CO regularly. Had a wonderful trip - Steve Dally was a great guide, fun to talk to, patient and of course knew where to find the fish 😀 Our group had experienced and very novice fishers in it and he made it a great time for all. Next trip already planned. Shop is great too, with lots of options for gear at really reasonable prices.

Tad is an awesome dude!!! One of the best Managers I have ever come across in my own management career.. This Man is top-notch and very knowledgeable about the fly, from trout to his and my love for smallies! Stop in, and let the crew get you the fly's for the day and like us fly fishin finatics swing back by and report back to the Daly fly's! No guys and gals I do not work for them, although I'd love to, but I'm just a finatic and appreciate their knowledge and caring skills folks! Have a wonderful day and good luck with your fly!

Dally's is a first class operation! Tad is great we were in town this past weekend to pick up a boat and only had time for a 1/2 day of fishing (not nearly enough) and Tad pointed us in the right direction with launches and helpful insight on the flows. If you are looking for a guide shop you can trust (Chad Johnson btw is one of the best guides around) you found the right place. Hope to be back again soon... and hopefully with a lot more time to fish!

Booked a trip thru Dally’s Ozark Fly Shop for my brother-in-law and myself. Brother-in-law could go at the last minute so brought my wife instead. She had NEVER fly fished before yesterday. We had Steve Dally as our guide/coach. I cannot say enough about how amazing this guy is at what he does. Took the time to go over some basics with my wife before we hit the water and was very patient with her throughout the day. The wife picked it up fairly quickly and had a fun time doing it. We fished the Norfork River all day and had pretty good success. Put 50+ fish in the boat through the full day trip. Other than a little rain in the morning it was a perfectly beautiful day. Steve is a great guy and an amazing guide who has helped me find my new go to fly fishing partner. Can’t wait for us to both get back on the water again very soon!

Great guys! They are knowledgeable and will set you up with the right gear to put you on the fish. I broke my fly rod one day into the trip and they were kind enough to lend me a loaner for my next day of fishing. They saved my trip! I couldn't be more thankful! As a beginner fly fisherman it can be intimidating to say the least. I started my quest with Dally’s and they have treated me with the utmost respect and provided invaluable information.

Great selection of gear, rods, clothing for the beginner or those looking for higher end as well.

Fun to walk around and look at all the really cool flies available. Staff were very friendly and prices were right for what we needed. A+!

Best shop around in my opinion. Years of combined knowledge, amazing selections, always able to find what I need or am looking for in addition to those goodies I didn’t even know I needed.

On a trip to Mt Home to check on conclave site I stopped in at store and found it amazing in the amount of goods and variety. Only one hour from my home and think I will visit more now that I have found shop.
