Waterfront Resort

Dale and Sarah are fantastic, was our first time there. Won't be the last. Can't wait to go back. The place was quiet, clean, scenic and the wildlife around was great. Thanks again you guys and we will see you soon.

First time to Bull Shoals Lake and Waterfront Resort was the Perfect spot!! Right on the water, we brought our Kayaks and had the best time! The dock was perfect for swimming, there was a stair ladder and the dock was in perfect shaped! Our youngest was running barefoot jumping into the water, no splinters!! The view from the cabins is beautiful! The cabins were extremely clean and well stocked with kitchen Essentials! The best part of the whole experience though were the hosts! Sarah and Dale treated us like family from the moment we got there! The hospitality they showed us is uncomparable to any place we have ever stayed! This is the ONLY place I would stay on Bull Shoals lake!!!

It's a small older resort on bull shoals lake. This is the best place on bull shoals lake! You won't get closer to the water or have better hosts. Perfect boat dock with swim dock. Nice grounds with squirrel and deer seen evertime we are there. It is also the cleanest we have found. This the perfect place to relax at the lake.

The view was so breathtaking. I can’t wait to go back here. The owners of the resort are so kind. I loved watching the sunsets from the dock. It truly is right on the water! There was plenty of amenities to make the week extra enjoyable.

So amazing to wake up every morning to a beautiful view of the lake. The cabins are clean and have everything you need for your stay. My vacation was so wonderful. What a great place to relax and unplug from the world. Perfect for families or couples. The resort owners are always ready to assist with anything you need.

I intended to write this a while back but life happens. lol We spent a full week here in mid to late September. We had an absolute blast. First let me say that Jim and Sandy (the owners) are super nice folks. They made sure we had a trouble free vacation. When we arrived we realized that there is an incline to get down to the dock. This posed a slight prob for my wife as she has a bad knee. Jim was immediately on top of it and arranged for us a Golf Cart rental to be delivered for us. We rented a 22 ft. Pontoon boat from them for the week and everything on it work great. The cabins are very clean and equipped nicely with most anything you will need for your stay. I cannot say thanks enough to Jim and Sandy for their great hospitality. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the daily grind and relax. This trip was exactly what we needed. I would give them 20 stars if it was possible.

Waterfront Resort is a quiet gem on Bull Shoals Lake. Dale and Sarah are phenomenal hosts and treat everyone like family. The resort, cabin and dock are extremely clean. Every cabin has its own boat slip in a covered dock. We’ve already booked a trip back for next year

Jim and Sandy are great hosts and are very knowledgeable about the lake and good fishing spots. The resort is clean and well furnished with BEAUTIFUL view of what is now my favorite lake! Easily accessible to town for groceries or restaurants. My family and I are looking forward to more visits and memories for years to come!

We stay somewhere different every year. Waterfront was a great choice for this year!!! We can sit in our yard and watch the kids down at the dock or along the bank! The owners are nice, laid back, and have anything you need.

It's a lovely place, great small cabins, and wonderful hosts. Did I mention the very nice pontoons and access to some of the best walleye fishing around?

We are definitely going to be back, just as calming a place as we could have asked for.

Waterfront Resort is absolutely a charming and wonderful place to stay! Clean, comfortable, closely set cabins with great views! Beautiful sunsets! You can see the Bull Shoals dam from the property. For animal lovers, there are deer roaming the neighborhood and Resort area.
This Resort is a short drive to Lakeview, Bull Shoals or Mountain Home compared to Resorts found down winding CR 17 or further down at 202 going into the small community of Oakland.
Waterfront sets very close to the water with boats available. The lake is so awesome and you will love it!
The owners, Jim and Sandy, are the best kind of folks you could ever hope to meet! We had such a great time and hated to leave! It was like home away from home!

We have been staying at Waterfront for at least 25 years. We have stayed at many other resorts prior to Waterfront, but none measured up after just one experience!

Jim Smakal (aka dock Jim) and Sandy Smakal (aka Miss Sandy), as our son who was practically born here calls them, are the greatest hosts you could ever ask for! We feel like family when we are there!

The view of the lake is spectacular and the resort cabins are the closest of any other resort on the lake.

Sorry to inform the readers of this review, but cabin # 3 is taken for all holiday weekends for the foreseeable future.

The resort's dock is brand new and can accommodate most all reasonably size boats and is well protected in a very quiet cove!

Jim and Sandy are great folks. They were very caring and helpful when we had a mishap. The cabins are very clean and beds comfortable. If we ever come back to the area, this is where we're going to stay again.

Stayed here for the first time last week, and it couldn't have been better. Cabins were very clean, grounds were well kept, and the docks are in great shape. We took our paddleboards and kayaks, and while we really loved going out on them in the morning, the cove is calm enough that you could do it any time of day. Bull Shoals Lake water is clean and clear, unlike other lakes we go to!

This truly is the closest, and nicest, resort on the lake. This lake is so clean and clear, any other pales (is nasty) in comparison! The cabins are clean, and right by the water, and are stocked with plates, silverware and pots, etc. Sitting on the screened in porches first thing in the morning is divine! So peaceful! Highly recommend!

Jim and Sandy have been out here over 30 years at this property, and have had repeat vacationers that have been coming to this resort since before they purchased it. I met with them to do a 360° virtual tour photo shoot for a couple of spots in the property to off some of their amenities, like the boat dock and the entry area... I was very surprised to find a wonderful little piece of heaven in the Lakeview and Bull Shoals area with great little cabins and a wonderful dock with easy access to the lake. Sara and Dale were exceptionally nice and accommodating. Very clean cabins and everything was so magnificently taken care of. Can't wait to go back sometime.

We had an amazing stay here! Jim and Sandy were welcoming and friendly and they really made our stay more enjoyable. The location of the resort is wonderful and has a gorgeous view. 10/10!

Jim and Sandy Smakal run a top notch resort. We stayed a week and wanted for nothing(but a taller showerhead. I'm 6'6"). Great views and the most crowded I seen the lake was for the 4th of July fireworks show. There were never more then a handful of boats anywhere on the lake which was nice. The water is as clear as I have ever seen in a lake. Another big plus is there are no mosquitoes which my wife was happy cause she is a magnet for them and she had no bites. Very nice dock for your boat of rent one of there's and they even have there own boat ramp.
