New City Annex Hotel

Can't beat this place. Lovely street across from National Theatre, a quick walk from Garden City / Oasis, and nice staff. Oh! And Patrick downstairs will hook you up with movies & shows! There's a craft market across the street, really good Indian & local restaurants that don't break the budget travelers bank, and very nice hair/nail salon along the street. They are also next to a number of bus companies that go to Rwanda, Kenya etc.

I came for just the restaurant and was able to try almost all the Ugandan food types for lunch for one cheap price. I would go again for sure.

Friendly staff and well located for seeing Kampala. Cheap, basic, safe and clean. Ideal for a budget traveler.
