The former Turkish fortress Akkerman is one of the most remarkable and interesting fortresses in all of Ukraine. Despite old age, its towers, bastions and sections of walls are perfectly preserved. This historical place is worth a visit!

Incredible place to explore and spend a few hours walking around. Lots of activities for families and interesting history. I would highly recommend a day trip to the castle and surrounding area if you are in Odessa. A++

Renovated place with decent amount of attractions inside for children. Pleasant and polite personnel. Nice shadow theatre.
Old history down to Roman times.
Worth seeing for whole day with picnic inside.

2.5 hours journey by autobus from Odessa, we go through Moldova, but totally worth it.
80uah tickets for entry and inside there are lots of archeological and architectural wonders to see along with some medivial artifacts and also you can practice your hands at archery. There is gorgeous view of the Black sea from the Akkerman fortress, if you are here do not forget to go back till you reach another door and visit the sea directly.
Must visit, I recommend this historic place !

Quite fun place to visit. There was some sort of festival, there was horse riding, bow and crossbow shooting good food and more. Good place for a few hours trip from Odessa.

Live out your fantasies about being a medieval knight!
Ride horses, eat shashlik with kvas, spend money on souvenir shops...that's pretty much it
