Spices and Herbs Ethiopian Restaurant and lodge

It's one of the nicest places in Arusha for sure. Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.

The food here is VERY TASTY! I wasn't so sure about pasta at an Ethiopian restaurant, but I ordered it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised at this flavorful dish. Eat here, you will not be disappointed!

While visiting a friend in Arusha she had a few of us meet here. We shared 2 mixed platters. 1 vegetarian and 1 meat. You pick 4 items for each platter. We also had 2 thermos’ full of 2 kinds of tea.
The food was fresh and amazing and the service was lovely.
I enjoyed the food so much that after my hike the next day I returned alone. The Spicy lentils and the split peas were delish! The atmosphere is also quite nice. Another added bonus was the fire pit.

I was at Spices and Herbs last month for 6days and it was my first time to be Tanzania but the really felt as if i was home. The dishes, the environment, the service all were on point. The staff were friendly and i pray next time I come to Arusha, I will still visit Spices and Herbs Ethiopian restaurant

Absolutely loved the place great ambience, quiet, lovely food, amazing coffee and excellent service!

Such good Ethiopian food! We had the lentils, spinach, cabbage, roasted peas and firfir. All were delicious. We stuffed ourselves and still had enough to bring some home. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was nice & when it got chilly outside , the waittress supplied all of our group with blankets .

Wonderful restaurant! I came here with my family while visiting Tanzania and Arusha. The food is incredible. Loved every moment I spent here. Great service too.

Superb Ethiopian food...the injeta is perfect and the restaurant itself is like a beautiful garden oasis. Our host Elizabeth even made a fire for us and we ate by fireside. It was beautiful

This Restaurant is great for the great food both Ethiopian and continental. Their food is very tasty and fresh. Great value for money. I will definitely go back there with my family. Papa Samawit, the owner is a classy gentleman and yet down to earth.

We loveddd this place. In the span of our 5 day stay in Arusha we are here 4 times lol! We were absolutely obsessed with their lentil samosas and veggie soup! Their traditional Ethiopian meal was amazing too!! And the atmosphere of being immersed in nature made it even more wonderful. Highly recommend this place, especially if you’re plant based 😊

It was our first time to return to this restaurant after very many years. The food was as good as we remembered it. The service was courteous and efficient. And the owner took the trouble to introduce himself and his family which was a nice touch.

This Ethiopian restaurant is a treasure in Arusha, the vibe is low-key and mellow, with an indoor bar and outdoor eating area. The owner is Ethiopian and the food is authentic, spicy, and delicious. Highly recommend this place for mellow ambiance and tasty quisine.

Seems like a true Ethiopian cousine. Food was interesting and really good. Staff really friendly. Service was great. Highly recommended. :)
