Stayed here for a night with my family and absolutely loved it. It is a quiet and enjoyable place with an amazing view facing the beach. Their service and food selection was top notch. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax and unwind.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Me and my wife have had a really good time here. The people who is working here are so kind and very welcoming and helpful. They are doing there best to solve all issues and help as much as possible. We can recommend this hotel.

Just been there for a short visit to the beach. Wonderful. Good place for kids to enjoy an afternoon swimming.

Ita a beautiful place, very clean. Right on a beach. So far beach is clean..but will see what happens during these 4 days.
I am not taking any stars off but want to comment about restaurant. We spent there quite a few hours upon our arrival ordering different foods and drinks.
There was a wedding at the hotel and front restaurant was occupied by the party so there was no access to that place. I am not sure if servers were used to help the party but it was challenging to get their attention. The concept of coming to the counter, order and pay immediately before they start preparing your meal is ridiculous. I don't know who came up with this idea but this kind of fast food approach contradicts with prices and a whole image of the hotel. Also with pricing when you get a certain clientele who are accustomed to room service to not have a room service is strange at least. I am not sure what the reason for this is..May be saving on staff? Servers were nice and tried to be attentive but there was definitely a shortage of them. Restaurant was basically 95% empty but even with this servers were nowhere to be seen. I could see people were flagging them..otherwise they wouldn't come to the table. In my opinion this should be immediately corrected.
With that said food we ordered was amazing. I hope management will give more thought about adding more servers so people can have courteous table service..but not overwhelmed waiters not being able to do their job well.

We had a family reunion thst we booked at this hotel for a party of 18 . The hotel gave us several rooms . I must say this was the best hotel/resort we had in Dar. The rooms are very nice , open , airy with fluffy pillows.
Although we got the ground floor - we cios see the sea water and the pool area. I can just imagine the views on the third floor.
This place is completely sea facing. From our patio - we could see kids playing.
The rooms had all the amenities, including shower gels , hot water with a good flow , coffee/tea , and they gave us extra cups when we requested.
The reception area was awesome, the receptionist served us coffee – cappuccino- they even brought it to the beach !!
Swimming in this beach was great … the sand is pretty clean - with an occasional pieces of glass. Waking on rig beach before sunrise was awesome .
They have an extra fully glass enclosed structure facing the sea which was not yet operational, but we were able to stay inside and looked around. The view of the sea from here is spectacular.
The staff is very friendly, respectful of privacy and space .
My sister lost her expensive shoes in the beach - and the staff found it !! This is usually unheard of .

Besides the wide variety, etc. it was their ability to accommodate our different requests . The staff were on their toes bringing fresh foods, made to order eggs, waffles , etc. . Although breakfast closed at 10:30, one of our guest came a little late, and the cook still made fresh eggs. Waffles and fresh coffee. They were truly amazing. You will not regret booking here .
We are planning to come next year to Tanzania, and this will be our place to stay. The price was also very reasonable considering the views-and the amenities.

I must say I was treated as a VIP by Restaurant's supervisor Frank and Aggy at the bar and treated to an awesome meal specially made by a new Indian Chef by the name of Sunil Dutt, that made me special Indian curry dishes that has not being made available at the Ramada and Giraffe Hotels yet. These will be the highlights of the already great menu. Probably the best Indian curry I have tasted in Dar. Great people these.

Its a very nice hotel with great sea view and clean beach, rooms are great and the provide high quality services. Its a nice place to celebrate events with family and friends. Not only that but also it is a great place to relax on weekends and the buffet here is great.

Very sexy property, great design, comfy and modern rooms rooms African chick style. Will be back!

Giraffe beach is amazing, the staff is great and very kind and friendly. The breakfast buffé is wonderful, the new indian chef is absolutely perfect! Will come again :)

Highly recommended! I cannot believe this place has only been given a 3 star hotel rating! We were previously checked into Jangwani Sea Breeze resort – the less said about them the better!

After one night there, we walked across the beach early the next morning and came across Giraffe beach hotel. It’s pristine white sandy beach leads up to a beautiful courtyard area with two pools a bar area and lots of sun beds and places to relax.

The rooms are modern and extremely clean with sea view room a particular highlight. The food is great and prices are very reasonable.

Most of all the service is phenomenal. Must shout out Winfrida, Issa, Rehema, Neema and Latifah who all went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time at the hotel.

Must also shout out the fella who cleans the beach (didn’t get his name sadly) – having seen what Jangwani Sea Breeze have allowed their beach to deteriorate into, he has done an amazing job to ensure the beach remains pristine!

Already planning our next trip to Giraffe next time we’re back in Dar.

The Giraffe Hotel! Where do I begin?! Being my first time in Dar es salaam I have to say that I was really looking forward to experiencing a short and sweet stay basking in the beach while enjoying the magical views! The Giraffe Hotel did exactly that! It is a fairly new hotel with a design that is a rich intersection of the hotel building itself and a garden area that is simple yet sophisticated, that leads to a clean and beautiful beach front.

The rooms are clean and modern, the swimming pool is also modern, well maintained and the water full to the brim. Its also important to mention that the they have a dedicated resource who cleans the beach front professionally considering that beach fronts in that general area can be very dirty. The staff are warm and very kind ready to assist and ensure their guests are comfortable. A special mention to Winfrida, Latifah, Neema, Issa and Rehema who made our stay extra special considering we had initially booked our stay at the Jangwani sea breeze and was deeply disappointed by their beach front which is filthy! Would highly recommend the Giraffe Hotel.
