Kibo Palace Hotel Arusha

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed here after our successful climb to Kilimanjaro, and we needed some pampering. This place is quite luxurious, big rooms, nice bath tub, great service. We woke up the next day nice and relaxed, ready for the safari the next day. Location is quite convenient very near to market place, and short drive from the Arusha airport when no traffic. It also has a wonderful restaurant, serves great food and drinks. Very reasonably priced, it has a buffet and a la carte menu. Staff was very friendly and made out stay very relaxing.

This is an excellent choice in the Central Business District of Arusha. Clean executive rooms, a breakfast with variety. You can experience the game safaris to the national parks and Mt Kilaminjaro from here and your local guide can pick you up. Costs much less than the exorbitant lodges, and by far more exclusive.

The accommodation provided was superb, with well appointed rooms that were not only comfortable but also impeccably clean. The hotel's location is perfect, offering convenient proximity to the town center while maintaining a peaceful and serene atmosphere.

The team at Kibo Palace Hotel, led by the ever-helpful Aisha, went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The staff's friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality truly set this hotel apart.

Really impressed with this hotel where we stayed at pre-safari. Firstly the price was reasonable, and the location is very central. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated but the important thing is they were spacious and clean. Some places that have this sort of interior have an old smell, but we didn’t find that here and throughout the hotel. There is a flat screen TV, small fridge, sitting area and ample wardrobe space. It’s really impressive that they have not one but TWO international sockets plus TWO USB ports on each side of the bed.. you don’t even find this in some 5* international hotels!
Bathroom was also spacious and had both a tub and a shower. There is a pool and gym. We had dinner at the restaurant which is open 24/7.. it was our first night in Tanzania and we were not sure what to expect with the food but we were impressed! I liked the vegetable samosas. Service also all good throughout, from the bellboy to the reception to the restaurant. Great impression for our first night in this lovely country!

One of the best hotels in Arusha with the best service and delicious food though during the high season it's fully booked so if you want to have your stay make sure you book early to avoid inconveniences. The hotel has facilities like restaurant,bar,gym and spa

We stay here 1night before and after safari, all the staff was very gentle with us. The breakfast is buffet and you have lot of things salad and sweet. The room are very comfortable with hairdryer and lots of amenities. If the weather is good you can also take a bath in the swimming pool. So in resume 5stars.

My clients from Israel stayed at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha, Tanzania, for two nights before and after safari. He found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and well-located. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Overall he had a positive experience at Kibo Palace.

We stayed at the Kibo Palace Hotel for 2 nights before and one night after our 2 week safari. It was excellent both times. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the showers beat anything you will get on safari. I have seen reviews that say the A/C is loud, but it's loud in all hotels. Our room had all the amenities we needed - toiletries, towels, bedding, safe, etc... we asked for an extra roll of toilet paper and it arrived immediately after I hung up the phone.
The restaurant is great, it offers a fixed menu if you are on a safari itinerary, and regular menu for when you're off your itinerary; both were equally delicious and had meat, vegetarian and gluten free options. Breakfast had a lot of choices, hot and cold, including an omelet station. The tables out by the pool are lovely, the back garden and pool area are meticulously maintained. Every staff member we encountered was lovely and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and a warm greeting.

TIPPING: The staff obviously work very hard, and it seems they work long hours as we always saw the same people no matter what time of day it was. We tipped quite a bit, leaving a few $ with certain staff members (porter, waiter/waitress, bar staff) and a little at the desk for housekeeping and kitchen staff. However..... we regret not being prepared with more single US dollars. It may sound like a lot, but offering $2 to $3 per interaction is not a lot when you've spent so much to get there. Bring more rather than less.

We spent a week in this amazing hotel and would definitely come back. Kibo offers amazing service, food and stay. Probably the best hotel food I have ever had. They also do turn down service and give cookies which is a plus. On Christmas eve eve they prepared Christmas movie viewing and popcorn which was a nice touch. The guest choir performances on Christmas eve and Christmas day was also great. My only qualm is on the shower area size which is much too squeezed. Also, the lift is quite old and definitely needs a revamp. A quick renovation would go a long way for this gem. Despite this, many thanks to all staff who made our stay worthwhile.

It is one of good hotels in Arusha. It has been there for quite sometime hence are very experienced in the hospitality industry. The service and environment are very nice, to my experience and the hotel is very close to Arusha town centre.

Very nice hotel and good location just walking distance from Clock Tower, very welcoming staff from the minute you enter the hotel, quick check in at the reception by friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very big and clean, bed was very comfy and clean. Breakfast area was very clean and relaxing, specially by the pool and inside. Unbelievable variety of food was provided and the service from all the staff was brilliant with smile.
I would definitely use this hotel again in future I highly recommend it.
