Great place to relax on a Sunday. Everything is well spaced out and you won’t feel crowded. There’s plenty of seating options, the view is also amazing and if your lucky, you get to see Meru and Kilimanjaro together. The food was excellent! We really enjoyed the pizza!

This is a lovely outdoor setting (but with shelter if it rains. Our group had a simple cheese pizza, but it was well made and the service was good.

There is something about the peace and quiet at Schwari/blue heron restaurant. It's got a beautiful view of the bypass and the greenery in between is very calming to just look at while sipping on some juice. If you visit and you are vegan, make sure to try their pesto vegan pizza. I'm definitely going back. Great service from the stuff.

Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Beautiful boutique with handmade clothes and other things.

The place is decorated, the staff is helpful and kind and the pizzas are excellent, inside the restaurant complex is the amazing shop - Schwari an internationally recognized design house specializing in clothing, accessories, shoes, and home decor -- inspired by traditional Maasai beading and the vibrant fabrics of Africa.

Very homey, the pizza was really delicious and the service was really fast, the staff is very friendly as well .. a good place to go with the family or friends you can spend your whole day there

We stayed in Arusha and wanted a good place for lunch. We opted for the Blue Heron due to the reviews. And what a lovely place this is: relaxing, tranquil, good and tasty food, good service. We truly enjoyed spending a day there. The decor is very appealing. We were very happy

One of the best places in Arusha to go watch the sun set over Mount Meru. (You can’t see the actual sunset but the light on Meru is beautiful.)

If you’re lucky, you can also spot Kilimanjaro.

The food is delicious, the place is cosy and the staff is so friendly.

You want tradition? You want a place that makes you sit and wait awhile and forces you to have a conversation with one another as your pizza is cooked to perfection?. I had the best pizza of my life at that time. Since then I have visited this place numerous times and my opinion about this pizza has still not changed.

Enjoyed beautiful ambiance, delicious food and wine, with the magnificent Mama C along with other talented musicians performing last night. Also, made a couple creative purchases, and plans, at Schwari. A wonderful way to spend an evening.

The Blue Heron is the best place for a coffee, or a pizza, salad, a meal or a chat. Not to forget the food is absolutely amazing but also, you get the urban chic feel as if you just finished a safari but the level of comfort and style at the Heron is so relaxing. It encapsulates what we miss in humanity sometimes, which is a combination of connection to ourselves, the elements, eachother and amazing food. I will absolutely be back. The style is unique and always changing. The design incorporates the living world and leaves one with a sense of wonder and awe. The fact the Schwari is right there makes it the most ideal dining and shopping experience.

The outside doesn't reflect the beauty of the location - nice view, good food, playground for the kids and very friendly staff. Pizza tastes perfect!

A wonderful restaurant. Delicious food, great selection of drinks, reasonably priced, with fantastic staff. We loved it so much we came back two more times! The All About Veg pizza was especially great.

Very peaceful, great view. Food is really good and the service is fast, I'd recommend the pizza. They seem to be often out of power, so sometimes the offering can be more limited, but still worth it.

Amazing view of Mt Meru and we were lucky enough to see the snowy scopes of the Kilimanjaro too! The food is delicious and the craft Twiga draught beer is a plus! Staff is nice and efficient and there's a craft shop in the premises with many beautiful local things. Totally recommended!
