Mikadi Beach Camp

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay right on the sand, simple rooms good for price, food is great, staff are wonderful and accommodating! Only negative is the water in the room only drips out and is VERY salty and heavy. I felt happy but did not feel very clean!

We had a great time sleeping in a hurt by the ocean, staff was kind, good food. Simply good value for Money

Very chilled place, very calm with beautiful tropical trees. I also could bring my dog and this is very rar here in Kigamboni! Thanks so much! The juice passion/mango is the best juice I ever had. The calamari rings are so delicious! I am still dreaming about them. It's just a little bit sad that the sea and the beach is full of plastic waste. Some clean ups would help the ambiente alot.

Great place ! We stayed in a banda by the beach. Awesome location to chill for a few days. The breakfast was nice (especially the pancakes) and the staff is welcoming. It was nice to chat with Innocent working there.

Awesome place, i had the best experience staying here, great environment, tasty food, friendly staff, and very secure. The only thing is the banda rooms could use more revamping in terms of roofing as there was a lot of dust and dirt on the net and bed due to the dust and insect dropping falling onto the bed.

What a wonderful place! The people are lovely and welcoming, and the vibes are perfect! I was only supposed to stay a week, I ended up staying for 2 weeks because I didn’t want to leave. I’ll definetly be back!

Mikadi Beach Camp is a great beach place on a stone throw of the central business district of Dar es Salaam. There is a nice selection of beach houses looking over the white sand beach and hearing the ocean waves that fall ashore with a plop. The restaurant is great and the menu just has been renewed with freshly prepared dishes and a wide selection of drinks.

Simply saved this cozy little place in Kiamboni. Chic vibes, nice seating lounge overlooking the beach. Good food. Excellent service. Nice sea water swimming pool. The huts are a tad small. 7 huts share common utilities and 3 huts have en suite bathrooms. Located close to Kigamboni ferry terminal, say about 15 minutes drive. We enjoyed game of billards and the amazing mon stop breeze from the ocean. The guards are amazing and safety is very well looked after. They were active all night checking all sides, as this camp has a wide open beach front.

Perfect place if you want to just hang out at the beach for a few days. Very simple accommodations, but good food and unbeatable view!

PS. It is very populated in weekends and public holidays but not in week days.

Another trip to Mikadi and as usual, it did not disappoint! Beautiful setting, close to Dar but far away enough to feel remote. Great food, the new chandelier bar is beautiful and excellent staff. Well worth a stay

I stayed at Mikadi Beach Lodge, and I can not speak highly enough of it! It is a beautiful location with good food and great views. The service is slower than I have been used to in a restaurant/hostel setting, but outside of the slower service, the employees are friendly and are fluent enough in English that speaking can be navigated with relative ease. Furthermore, they would go out of their way to help by calling taxis and tuk tuks if patrons require them. To top it all off, there are hammocks and a pool that you can see the beautiful clean beaches and gorgeous blue water.
