Lovely day experience. Better that Bongoyo island as it has more shade. Water is lovely,
Food is basic but not great so I would take my own. Some sift drinks and beer options available. Go early. Later boats returning are rougher si if prone to sea sickness, take something before leaving.

Such a change from the last time I was here. Tranquility here still remains top notch but the added cabanas make it a whole lot better....

Amazing island and near to Dar Es Salaam city center it cost around 20,000 Tsh per person for the boat and 40,000 government taxes only pay with card no cash, fantastic sandy beach and wonderful clean Crystal water I would recommend to take food and drinks before visiting the island.

We had a short get togather with a group of Rotarians and it was an amazing experience. Amazing views , great beach , neat and clean.

They have two beaches. For the second beach you have to follow the trail which is incredibly beautiful. You pass through a little forest with a lot of deep wells. The second beach is not as big as the first one but stunning and you will enjoy the all beach by yourself as few or no one goes there at all but it is pretty safe.

One of the best easily accessible beaches from the city. Woke up early, take a 30 minute drive from the city, get on a little boat for a TShs. 10,000 usually-calm 15 min ride and spend the day on a gorgeous beach. There’s shades, hammocks, and snorkel gear for rent and some delicious lobster, fish and chicken available for purchase.

20 minute island offshore from dar es salaam, you can get a boat ride from around mbezi for 10,000tsh with return fare.
There is a small trek through the beach which takes you to the back of the island. The trek is an ordinary one but the natural beauty on the other side is like no other.
The island has a small restaurant on the front of it where you can get food and drinks.
There is a small maintainance fee upon arrival.

One of the best places in Dar to visit. You get to the island by boat, the prices are very affordable. The amazing thing about it, you can go with snacks, drinks and alcohol. They have joints for food, the ambience was great and the service good. It was such an amazing break from the hustle of the city.

It's a place with a friendly area for walking in the small forest and walking on the beach, it's very clean, the workers are kind, the transportation to the island is also friendly, but the food costs are a little high, but it's still a good place for a gate away

Very nice place to be, its an exotic isolated island with white sandy beach and light blue Indian ocean waters.

It takes 30 min to reach from the ramada hotel side. One side is always wavey but the other side is so calm between the morning and afternoon. There is enterence fee for the island $17. There is a restorant on it and they serve sea food. Prices are affordable. Dont forget to negotiate for the prices bcz they dont use the offical dolar currency at all.

if you want to forget everything in your life...visit this island and you will never regret...... i love this place.

A day at this island is always an awesome day. A perfect getaway place to get out of Dar city chaos.

Good place to enjoy..... Very beautiful place an clam place, best place for couples to enjoy or group of friends. Can play with ball in water. Swim in sea... Food available. Not much costly... Can enjoy a full day

It's a good place to watch the sunset and has a good hospitality the water is so clear you can see fish swimming
