Beidawushan Trail

It's not easy to get to the mountain top. But it's worth taking more than 2 days to climb.

Incredible hike! Definitely a must in the southern parts of Taiwan.
To me it's one of the most beautiful trails thanks to the amazing trees.
Camping is also solid, tents are big and worth the rental price, which also saves you some weight carrying.

I suggest two day one night trek. Don't let the rain in the middle part discourage you! It usually disappears at the top :)

The most high mountain in the Southern Taiwan with its 3092 meters high, the Saint Mountain in the heart of aboriginal Paiwen, named officially “Kavulungan”!

Excellent for a 2 day hike. The accommodation run by the aboriginals is great and the food delicious. Be sure to get to the clearing near the lodge to watch the sun set over the sea of clouds.

What an amazing experience! Well maintained trail. Clean hut. Definitely recommend this challenge.

Fall/Winter are the best seasons to visit this sacred peak of Indigenous(Paiwan and Rukai).The sea of clouds is absolutely breathtaking, and hiking through the wood is such a pleasure.

Even though it's not a difficult route, I still suggest a 3-day trip so that you may fully indulge in the arms of this beauty. Get yourself a bed in 檜谷山莊(foreigners should be grouped with Taiwanese, I guess) and admission is required as well.

Extremely foggy and rainy on our occasion. Totally could expect how spectacular it would be on a clear day though.

Best trail ever. Good for beginners too as theres campsite in 2100m.

一日單攻成功🎊🎊🎊

早上5點起登，結果沿途景色太美了，一直停下來拍照，都忘了我在單攻阿😂😂

回到停車場已經9點了，其實沒有想像中難走，可能天氣好路不濕滑，還蠻好走的，但還是建議單攻者可以早點出發，才能有更多時間欣賞山景

北大武的登山口停車場！停車場位置蠻寬敞平常日去一定有位子假日的話就車滿為患！這邊風景遼闊位於深山可以沉澱心情

登山健行好去處，要有一定的體能訓練才能走。風景棒。

二天一夜行程，因為不習慣山莊的床板搖晃以及其他山友的打呼聲，整夜沒睡，凌晨1：30早餐也沒吃只帶了簡單的蛋白餅就起登，北大武山步道從4k以上至三角點的這5k滿滿的陡坡加上北大武著名的濕滑，上山還好下山真心覺得有難度，跨距落差很大非常不利身高低於160公分的人尤其是女性，非常吃臀肌的力量，幸好平日的運動量還算足夠回來沒有鐵腿，但是對於平日運動或是訓練較少的人，真的建議到檜谷就好了。

由北大武新登山口至日湯真山，再繞行至舊登山口後，返回新登山口，全程約3小時，含休息時間，路線指示清楚，中段至日湯真山為上坡，其餘路段都好走，風景也很漂亮。

新登到舊登適合新手或親子，也可以可以新登-日湯真-舊登0型環繞，體力好一點的可以再往裡面走檜谷或是攻頂
不過要事先在警政署申請入山許可，然後再舊登入口填寫資料
路線濕滑要特別注意

北大武山步道：新登山口--舊登山口=2.8K，前段約1.5k為略陡上坡路段，在日湯真山分叉點後下坡到產業道路至舊登山口；這裡設有公廁及檢查站，要的檜谷山莊過夜者需在此check。舊登山口(0k)--檜谷山莊分叉點（4k），前面多屬緩上坡，2.5K起杜鵑林到3.8K喜多麗斷崖為急陡坡，非常耗體力；這4公里約需3-4小時，如果隊伍人數較多或腳程較慢需估更多時間。檜谷山莊分叉點(4k)--北大武山三角點（9k），這段5公里路多為較陡上坡路段，特別是最後2公里，雖已上稜線，但要越過2個山峰，陡下又陡上，才抵達北大武三角點，來回10公里，隊伍人數多或腳程慢的人可能需花上10-12小時，寧可大清早摸黑出發上山，切忌太晚出發摸黑下山反而更為危險。
